Chapter Text
The world was silent as Jungkook walked to school. His fingers tapping a familiar rhythm against the strap of his backpack that comforted him as he made his way down the crowded streets of Seoul. The ten minute walk he took to walk to SNU was always packed no matter what time of day. Thank god he couldn’t hear, otherwise his senses would’ve been overwhelmed every time and he’d have to buy earplugs or noise canceling headphones (which, by the way, he doesn't have money to buy either).
Being a bunny hybrid meant that he had heightened senses (with a cute pair of ears and a fluffy tail to match) and he tended to get overwhelmed if he sensed too much of his surroundings.
Just as he reached forward to press the button that signalled that he needed to use the crosswalk, he bumped into someone and fell onto the sidewalk. He looked up at the person he bumped into, bowing his head politely and rubbing a closed fist over his chest in a circular motion.
The person gave them a thumbs up and bowed their head before going about their business.
And just as he began walking across the street, he started tapping the strap of his backpack again. Completely oblivious to the fact that a car was speeding towards him at a rapid speed and people were shouting at him to get out of the way.
He smiled and bowed his head at a woman who he thought was waving at him just as the car collided with his body. Jungkook fell to the ground and blood immediately poured out of his head. People crowded around him, crying and freaking out as they waited for the ambulance to arrive.

Jungkook groaned and held a hand up to his head. Why does he have such a terrible headache?
Once his headache settled a bit, he opened his eyes and checked his surroundings. He was laying on a bed that looked like it belonged in Buckingham Palace. The wall to the right of him was covered with curtains and the lights in the room were dimmed. The decor of the room was mostly red and black with some gold accents.
Jungkook started freaking out as he scanned the room. Where was he? What is this place? Did he die? Was this Heaven or Hell? He was so confused.
Just as he started to calm his breathing, the door to the bedroom he was in slammed open and six men he didn’t recognize stared at him full of concern and worry. His brows furrowed as he watched them say something. They must not realize that he’s deaf.
He makes an ‘X’ with his hands and points to his ear. He starts signing with his hands, but only one of them seems to understand him.
“Slow down, slow down.” The man signs to Jungkook, his brows furrowed in confusion.
Jungkook sighs and signs slower this time. “I’m deaf! Who are you and how did I get here?!” The man repeated what Jungkook said to his friends and they all looked at him with sad or confused faces. Jungkook just stared back at them questioningly, raising his hands in a way that tells them to hurry up and speak.
The man signs again, and this time, Jungkook’s the one to be confused.
“We’re your husbands, Jungkook.”
Jungkook’s eyes go wide in shock, but he continues signing “How? The last thing I remember was crossing the road on my way to school.”
The man gives him a confused glance again. “What year do you think it is?” He suddenly asks.
“2025,” Jungkook replies right away.
“Jungkook, that was ten years ago.”
Jungkook freezes, his eyes going wide as he thinks. There’s no way he’s in the future! That doesn’t make any sense!
He runs over to the window and looks behind the curtains. It’s right around noon right now, but it had been early morning when he was walking to school.
One of his husbands runs over to him and closes the curtains. “Don’t open the curtains, Kookie. You can’t be in the sun.” The man he was signing to earlier signs to him.
Jungkook’s brows furrowed in confusion again. “Why?” He asks, he was just checking the time.
“You’re a vampire, silly.”
Jungkook freezes again.
He’s a what?!
