    “What are you thinking about?” Yuuji asks, in little more than a whisper. He worries that if he speaks too loudly, this moment will end.

    Megumi is silent for so long that Yuuji isn’t sure he plans to answer. Just as Yuuji forgets that he’s even asked him a question, Megumi speaks.

    “How lonely it would be without you,” Megumi replies, so quietly that Yuuji almost thinks he imagined it.
