    A certain amount of intimacy exists in taking a hit from someone who's punch you're familiar with. You know exactly how hard they swing, where they aim, and how they'll dodge. The same intimacy exists within them knowing exactly how much you love it. Both things were true for Alex and Henry. The latter had been accidental, a few fights happening before a pattern began. Alex hard as a rock because of a fist to the jaw, Henry's eyes rolling backward in his head, pressed against a wall as Alex took him in the nearest bathroom.
