Chapter Text

The Watching of Arc 5 had changed a lot of things for the people in the Theater, it had confirmed some suspicions that had been introduced in to people's mind during the Watching, especially the fate of the previous Sword Saint was rage inducing, it had proven to them beyond a shadow of a doubt how horrible Pandora was, the previous arc also had raised some major questions about the Witch of Envy and her Relationship to Subaru, no body doubted the Goodness and kindness of the boy, as he had shown who he truly was over and over again- the kindest soul their world had ever seen.

"Wow! Would have thought that kid would make it so far" a certain Appa merchant said.

"He's so cool! He's even more cool than Reid!" Little Plum said in absolutely astonishment of what the boy who had been with the pretty Lad- Witch ? She looked like the Witch, but she was so nice? Was the Witch actually nice ? Plum was confused, but the Witch had helped her find her parents, and the boy was with her and he was clearly nice! Even forgiving and saving the people who hurt and even killed him, he was so brave, so nice, so cool, the heroes from her storybook clearly couldn't hold a candle to the hero she had actually met! Those Heros with all their powers hadn't been able to truly defeat the Witch or saving half the World from her! While Subaru with just one ability and all his weaknesses had defeated all the Monsters again and again, and Plum had no doubt that Subaru in the end would save everyone even the Witch! Was it a Wonder that even the The Witch had fallen for such an amazing hero ? How could either the Sword Saint or the Dragon or even the Sage compare to this?

Reinhard felt utterly useless once again, the on going on the screen had shown him once more how utterly useless he was, even when Subaru had called him to the battle with Wrath he only had succeeded in making things more difficult for his Friend by killing him and countless innocent civilians trough the Authority of Wrath, he couldn't do anything right! He had even failed to save his Lady 3 times over! If it wasn't for Subaru two of five Royal Candidates would already have died right under Reinhard's nose ! In twisted way the Witch of Envy herself had done more for the Kingdom of Lugunica than Sword Saint ever did by bringing her 'beloved' here who by all accounts and rights was a true hero such as he could never be!

The Royal Candidates had all do deal with their own problems.

"A-And what are we going to see next?" Otto asked nervously

"Is ta't a' Question Brotto ? We'll be watching the Cap'n of cause'!"

"What will you do next my amazing, foolish knight?" Emilia asked, the Silver haired half-elf feels undeserving of her Knight who had died multiple times for her.

[Damn it!"

...the former two he was currently failing at.

"This is just my luck!"

He was running late.

"I even left the mansion sooner! Why am I such a failure?" The black-haired knight cursed himself for running late on a task entrusted to him by Emilia. His self-loathing consumed him once more.

"This wouldn't have happened if I went with Otto! I know it!" Although he knew that the luck of the green merchant was almost as bad as his, he knew that as a merchant, he had a better sense of direction and wouldn't get lost in the streets of Lugunica's Capital.]

"Hihihi of course I wouldn't Natsuki-san" Otto laughed

"Hmph! Typical Barusu! He couldn't even find he wouldn't even find his own nose!" Ram berated the boy

"You're to hard on him dear Sister, Rems hero is a wonderful man"

"Please try to find someone better dear Sister, Barusu is clearly a bad choice" Ram

"Please dear Sister don't waste your precious breath to defend that pig Barusu" Ram said

The Screen continued.

[I'm sorry Natsuki-san but I have too much paperwork that needs to be finished. As much as it worries me how you'll look in front of the nobles of the Karash family, I can't go with you."

"Aaah, don't you worry, it will be fine, I'll just take Patrasche instead of the wagon and I'll be there in no time, I'll even wear the damn uniform ok?" Subaru said confidently.

Otto silently stood there with his arms crossed and raised his eyebrow, he didn't look convinced.

"Come on, trust me a little, Emilia-tan trust me with this too! I'll just use my charm!" Subaru tried to reassure the camp's internal affairs minister.

"Emilia-sama trusts you because she has a soft spot for you..." Otto said offhandedly.

"Wait...wha-" but before the nasty eyed knight could finish questioning what Otto meant, he was interrupted.

"...and using your charm is exactly what I'm worried about! You will go there on Emilia-sama's behalf so the last thing we need is your 'charm', even your clout won't save you then!"

"[Sigh] I promise I will be on good behaviour, I will even depart sooner so I won't be late," Subaru said in a monotone voice.]

"Don't worry Subaru, your doing great and you are really charming, you're a good boy" Emilia said looking at her Knight on the screen which lead to countless laughter in the Theater.

"Yeah he is in deed a good boy Emilia sama" Otto laughed

"Yeah of course Big Brother is a good boy" Felt joint in to the Joking increasing the laughter in the room

"Did I say something funny?" The half elf asked

"I can already imagine him tearing me a new one for this, damn it! I hate when he's right!" Subaru gritted his teeth in frustration, not looking forward to another lecture from Otto about representing the camp and Emilia in front of important people and hearing from Ram how useless he is even if she’s right, but most importantly he didn't want to let Emilia down once more.

'Why would she love me if all I do is let her down?' as the dark thoughts returned to him. He passed through the gate that separates one part of the city from another, the guards stationed there seeing his knight uniform and the fact that he was in a hurry didn't stop him.

When Subaru snapped out of his thoughts he looked around he saw large houses and mansions, some even had gardens separating their properties with either fences with elaborate designs or decorated walls, when he turned around he saw part of the city and city wall below him on the horizon. The knight realised he was already in the noble district.

"You found it, Patrasche! I know why you are the best girl!" the black-haired knight complimented his ground dragon to which the black dragon responded with a groan that he assumed meant "Of course I am!".

"Of Course Patrasche is the best girl even when everyone let's the boy down his ground dragon never will!"Ricardo declared laughing while slapping his own upper leg

In the back round Rem and Emilia pouted both of them thought they should be best girl.

As he went by several houses some nobles and knights called their homes he saw the manor he was looking for.

It was an L shaped manor half the size of the previous Roswaal mansion with a large garden and a pond in front of its entrance. It was built out of white marble and had a sharp, green tiled roof unlike the houses of other nobles around who preferred either blue or red from what Subaru saw.

After they passed the gate of the manor and were getting nearer and nearer to the front entrance. A young woman with purple hair and a long elegant maid uniform went out to greet him.

"Hello the-er [Cough] I mean, greetings my name is Subaru Natsuki, I am a knight serving royal candidate Emilia. I have come to meet Nikov-sama on behalf of my liege," Subaru quickly corrected himself and introduced himself as etiquette dictates.

“Welcome esteemed guest but my apologies Sir Natsuki, Lord Nikov and the rest of the Karash family left for urgent business two hours ago,” informed the purple-haired maid as she bowed down to the esteemed guest. She reminded Subaru of Frederica in her elegance and demeanour giving him the impression that she was more than capable of being a maid.

"Dammit, all that running for nothing! My condolences mini boss" Ricardo said

"Well such incidents are sometimes unavoidable, but that's just part of the growing process"Tivey said, Mimi punched him.

"AU! Mimi why?"Tivy asked

"What are you on about?" Mimi answered

May I ask when they'll be back?" his left eyebrow began to twitch as his voice cracked with a hint of doubt filling it, hoping that he could salvage his situation if they would not be gone for long.

"Lord Karash Nikov said they should be back tomorrow, Sir Natsuki," the maid said with a hint of remorse and pity in her voice, sensing that the inexperienced knight in front of her might be in trouble.

"Tomorrow huh...Thank you. I'll take my leave now," sadness filled his voice as he found out that he most likely failed thanks to his uselessness.

As the maid held the sides of her skirt and bowed down Subaru turned around and left, dejected knowing that he screwed up.

"If it was any other day the noble would have stayed home but of course, he has to 'leave on urgent business with the whole family' when I'm late for the meeting. I swear this damn world must hate me!" the black-haired boy lamented his situation as he walked on the streets of the large city, leading his ground dragon by her reins instead of riding her.

"Make ya' Think, maybe it really does with all the things that happen to em' don't it?" Anastasia contemplated

"Ha! Of course even the World itself would hate to have do deal with a being as pathetic as Barusu! All his bad luck is just the result of Barusu being Barusu"Ram stated

Subarus day wasn't going well. Before he departed from the mansion he was looking forward to coming back the most out of the whole day. He was excited coming back to Emilia-tan with the good news and hearing her praise him for doing such a good job.

However, now the opposite was the truth. This is probably why he was still in the Capital instead of going back home. Subaru can already imagine their reactions to the bad news.

Ram is going to berate him on how useless he is...and she will be right.

"I always am" Ram said with an absolutely smug grin on her face

[[[On Screen]]]

Otto is going to throw a fit, scold him and blame him for adding yet another pile of work to him...and he is going to right to blame him.

[[[In Theater]]]]

"Oh! Common Natsuki-San!" Otto said roughing his own hair

[[[On Screen]]]]

But most importantly, Emilia is going to be disappointed in him and won't probably trust him with anything important again...and she will be right to do so.

"I won't be Subaru, sometimes this things just happen I know that don't worry so much" Emilia said giggling a bit while shaking her head

Looks like I have two options: either go back to the mansion, admit I got here late and come back later or stay here in the Capital and go see them tomorrow...' As he was walking on the side of the road and leading Patrasche he was contemplating what to do, he already knew he was a failure of a knight, he didn't want to be ridiculed by the others back in the mansion.

As he was walking, he turned to a quiet alleyway to think.

"It's decided, I'm staying here and meet them tomorrow, I just hope they won't panic back in the mansion that I didn't show up," as the black-haired knight decided, he looked around and realised that he didn't end up in just some random alleyway, but the one where it all began.

Subaru chuckled to himself, that memory was precious to him and to randomly end up here of all places was impressive.

"Ah well, I should have enough money to afford a place with stables for the night…"

"Or I could just ask Felt or Rein if I can stay over. I'm sure they won't mind."

[[[In the Theater]]]

"Seems like we are going to have big bro over for the night I'm sure that will be fun! You look forward to it to right Rein?" The former Thief asked her Knight

"Of course My' Lady it would be an honor to have Subaru stay over" the Sword Saint said smiling trying to hide his excitement at spending time with his friend.

As Subaru was thinking about what he, Felt and Rein would do, someone approached him. He didn't need to turn around to know who it was.

"H-hello, Subaru-kun," he heard a voice like silver bells behind him, a voice that was almost the same as the voice of the one he loves. This voice, however, sounded tired and broken yet relieved and full of love...

...There was only one person to whom this voice could belong and it was not Emilia. Cold sweat ran down his neck. He could feel his hands completely cold and his head warm. He needed to get away but his legs did not respond.

[[[[In the Theater]]]

Everyone in the Theater was grabbed by fear

"T-t-the W-w-witcht of Envy!" Hetaro brought out stuttering

"How ta' fuck d' she got out again!?"Garfield cursed

"Is that dumb Seal doing ANYTHING AT ALL!!!??? If not THAN WHY IS IT THERE AT ALL!!???!!?"Felt howls

"Tch! What an ugly sight" Priscilla scoffed

Everyone starred at the screen in utter horror except...
"Why dose everyone look so weird? Isn't the pretty Witch his Girlfriend? He said he'd save her, you like him don't you miss Witch?" Plum who still didn't understand the difference between Emilia and Satella asked innocently.

Emilia felt as if she had just received a slap to the face as her similarities to the Witch were once again brought up.

"Ah! Right..."Ricardo who just had begun to recover"She is basically one of his fan girls to after all so... maybe she saw he was down and wanted to cheer him up?" Ricardo said and everyone looked at him as if he had lost his mind"hey it's a possibility!" He defended

Time seemingly stopped for Subaru as he braced himself for the pain given to him by the hand of shadows squeezing his heart. He could already feel the cold and bitter touch of it in his chest...

However…

The pain never came and as he refocused his vision his eyes began to wander around. He saw people: humans and demi-humans going about their day, dragon drawn carriages moving on the road, birds in the sky flying around...

...It meant only one thing...

Time did not stop.

Fear began to overtake him, why is she here? Was it like back in the sanctuary? Has he broken the taboo at some point? But if that were the case, surely she would have given him a warning.

...Will he need to die again?...

"P-please don't be a-afraid my beloved!" she stuttered with a shaky voice as she slowly approached him

[[[IN THE THEATER]]]]

"GO AWAY FROM HIM WITCH!" Rem shouted in outrage

"Don't you DARE call him your beloved!"Petra breathed out angrily

"No! No no no no you can't take him from me too..." Emilia shivered at the thought of having her Knight stolen by the ancient Witch whose resemblens to her had caused her so much grief.

"Whaaat a surpriiise, how will our dear Naaatsuki-saaan get out of this?" Roswaal said grinning from ear to ear

"Well maybe the Witch really just wanted to see him after all ?"Tivey said in a shivering tone, as if he himself didn't believe that proposal

He was too shanking in fear too afraid to move or to turn around and accept she was there, and confirm his fear.

The black-haired boy was about to have a panic attack, he felt a gentle nudge on his shoulder. When he looked at what it was, he saw Patrasche.

“Rrrrrrr,” the black ground dragon let out a concerned groan while she nudged her master with her head again.

“Patrasche?” Subaru said softly to his trusted companion when he realised that she was trying to calm him down.

“You’re... calm? So you think we’re not in danger… do you?” he muttered under his breath while directing his gaze at the source of the voice that put so much fear in him.

“I’m s-sorry, I didn’t mean to startle y-you,” stuttered the silver-haired girl in a reassuring tone, all while slowly walking closer to the boy and the black dragon.

[[[[IN THE THEATER]]]]]

"It seems like she got the Dragons approval, Natsuki-San, you really are lucky with the Ladies haha!" The green clothed Merchant tried to overplay his fear by joking

"Yeah boy gets all the bi-... I mean Witches!" Ricardo supported Otto but swallowed down the words he was originally about to say after seeing the death glares of all the Woman in the Room.

When she walked closer she reached out with her hand towards the ground dragon. The proud dragon looked at her hand and sniffed it after which the black dragon relaxed into her hand signalling that Patrasche allowed herself to be caressed by the Satella.

"How are you here? Is the seal really just a gimmick?" Subaru raised his eyebrow, looking perplexed while he asked.

[[[[IN THE THEATER]]]]

"Yes, I think we all would pretty fucking much want to know that!"Felt said in outrage

"My Lady is Right, if the Witch can really leave the Seal at will than the whole Whole World might be in danger we will need too-" Reinhard began

[[[[Explanation skip]]]]]]

"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!?" Felt scream

[[[[ON SCREEN]]]]

"Wow, that honestly sounds amazing, you must have seen the whole world by now!" Subaru gushed in excitement, seemingly forgetting his fear of the witch.

"Not really, this is the first time I used it," Satella said matter-of-factly.

"Why?" Subaru asked as he raised his eyebrow.

Satella averted her eyes, her cheeks reddening in embarrassment, poking both of her index fingers together in front of her chest and answered "W-well I-I didn't have a reason to."

It was confirmed, Satella was a bigger shut-in than him.

"So you used it only now, for the first time in 400 years because you wanted to see me?" Subaru deadpanned.

[[[[IN THE THEATER]]]]

"So I was actually right! Damm! That boy's real Man! Hahaha hahaha!"Ricardo laughed

"Wow Cap'n really 's a real ones even 't Witch 's not "ta much for 'em!"Garfiel applauded

"Of course even the Devil isn't save from a Barusus perversion!" Ram stated

"N-no she can't-" Emilia began still terrified her eyes were teary

"N-no! Yo-you, see I-I-I decided to go for a walk! Yes! For a walk in the Capital and when I saw you I decided to say hi!"

"So let me get this straight: after 400 years you suddenly decided to go out for a walk, coincidentally in the same place, on the same day as me and to top it all of you just randomly ran into me in this big city in some side alleyway," he said sarcastically.

"Yes! Exactly! You are so smart my beloved! I knew you would get it!" the silver-haired witch responded with enthusiasm, oblivious to the sarcasm.

Subaru was wrong, she wasn't just a bigger shut-in than him, she was the goddess of all shut-ins.

"That's the Witch everyone's scared? Mimi is disappointed" the tiny Cat girl stated

"Hahaha hahaha hahaha!!! Terrifying Witch my Ass Hahaha hahaha Hahaha! She's just a puppy! Hahaha! Haha hahaha! Rein! I don't hahaha Hahaha! I don't think we need that stu- huhuhu Hahaha hahaha stupid Seal anymore!" Felt laughed

"Wow! The Kid really managed to turn the greatest living Disaster of our World in to a lovestruck maiden! I really need to get him to join me at a bar! I can imagine the legendary tales that will spawn from there"Ricardo pat himself at the knee.

"I can't allow you to do that! My Subaru is still not old enough to drink!" Emilia protested

Satella, when was the last time you talked to someone?"

"I-I'm talking to-to you right now."

"You haven't talked to anyone in 400 years have you?"

"N-No! I mean yes I have!... Occasionally…like wi-with you back in the sanctuary!"

"Really?" he asked with a hint of doubt in his voice.

"...Yes!" she answered, trying to sound persuasive.

'That explains the stuttering, it's a miracle it isn't worse for the poor girl.' He thought, feeling sorry for her.

"Of course he would even feel sorry for the Witch of Envy herself!"Otto deadpanned "what's he going to do next? Run foster home for blight Dragons?"

"Of Course Barusu and that Witch are Soul mates, she's just as stupid as Barusu!"Ram exclaimed

"they are not Soul mates Sister!"Rem complained

"Weeellll, thaaat veeeery traaait is juuuust paaart of our deeeear Natsuki's persssssoooonaltiy" Roswaal added

"Yeah the Mini boss really cares about his friends even when they are Monsters" Hetaro declared

"Do mewyou think Subaru Kyun thinks of the Witch as his Friend?" Felix asked.

"It seems soo" Crush answered conflicted

That explains the stuttering, it's a miracle it isn't worse for the poor girl.' He thought, feeling sorry for her.

"So what will you do today Satella? Do you have anything in mind?" Subaru asked looking around making sure he was out of earshot when he said her name, the memory of the time when he called Emilia with the name of the witch flashing in his mind.

The silver-haired girl smirked at Subaru and turned around.

"L-like I said, I'm going for a walk, you can join me if you want," she said with confidence in her voice.

'It seems like she does not intend to harm anyone, but I should probably join her to keep an eye on her.'

"Are going on-?" Emilia asked shocked ?

"That's unfair I was SUPPOSED too be next!" Petra was outraged

[[[ON SCREEN]]]]

"O-okay Sa…” he stopped himself from saying her name and thought for a moment.

“...Tella, you wouldn’t mind if I called you that…would you…?”

[[[[IN THE THEATER]]]]]

EMILIA: they really ARE going on a Date! He even gave her a nickname!" Emilia was in disbelief.

PETRA: That's unfair that Witch is CHEATING!!!! I was supposed do get the next Date! She cut in line!!!! She even got a nickname before me!" The little Maid was furious

Rem said nothing but her gaze held murderous intend

WILHELM: to be fair to Subaru-dono it would have been very ill advised to call her by her actual name in public.

ANASTASIA: We know old man, no one 's blaming Natsuki 'ere" the business tycoon said

Reinhard just released something, and it took all his divine protections that were mind related for him to not freak out right now, but he decided to stay silent at the Moment

But a certain thief girl at a similar inkling at the moment
FELT:wait... don't tell... that actually was...
The blonde royal candidate eyes widened

Subaru took Patrasche by her reins and ran up to Satella, trying to catch up to her as she playfully skipped to the entrance of the alleyway

FELT:holy shit! That was Satella!?!!??!?" The thief girl blurt out in disbelief

REM: is something wrong Lady Felt?" The Demon Maid asked the the blonde thief

FELT: I and Rein were there at that day in the Capital, and we meet big bro.. and who we ASSUMED to be big Sis..."

EMILIA: hmmm but I was at the Mansion the entire day!" Than Emilia realized it"...you mean...?"

FELT:..Yeah, apparently we had a run in with Satella and we had NO CLUE! ...but that explains why big bro was suddenly so on edge when we talked...."Felt realized

REINHARD: my Lady, do you mean..? She was actually threatening him ?" The Sword Saint asked worried for his friends

FELT: No she didn't! Have you not seen how lovy dovey their acting just now!?" The Thief had a lot of angry glares directed at her after saying that".. it's us we were threatening him!"

Reinhard blinked
REINHARD:"what do you...?"

FELT:"think about it Rein, he walked in to the Sword Saint while having a Date with the Witch of Envy!" Felt explained "you are probably the last person anyone in that situation wanted to walk into!"

REINHARD"Oh!" The Sword Saint was a bit hurt and disappointed in himself for causing his friend to be in such a situation

ROSWAAL:"we probably were all just lucky that the Sword Saints ridiculous amount of Divine protections didn't tip him off who actually stood before him" the Clown said in a somber voice with out all the usual pretext

ANASTASIA: W'hat do ya mean?" The Merchant Queen asked

MIMI: Mimi doesn't understand either" the oldest of the triplets said.

FELT:Wait... he's right....

REINHARD: what do you mean my Lady?" The Red-haired asked

FELT:Rein do you have any idea what would have happened if you had actually realized that was Satella?" She asked

Reinhard understood
REINHARD:I would probably engage her in battle"

CRUSH:And since the Witch had no intention of causing harm it would have been an entirely pointless battle that only unnecessarily endangered everyone in the surrounding area"

ROSWAAL: in deed, if two entities such as the Sword Saint and the Witch of Envy had a full on battle we can assume that in such a fight atleast the entire Capital would be destroyed, if not the entire Country, and that doesn't even count the situation that Natsuki san would have been in"

EMILIA:the Situation Subaru would be in?" the half-elf asked

AL: think about it, if this little viewing session hadn't happened and you met Pal running around with HER of all people what would you think?"

OTTO: that he is a Witch cultist most likely " the Merchant said grimly

GARFIEL: Cap'n would never-"

REM: Rems hero wouldn't-

PETRA: Subaru hates them!

EMILIA: my Subaru would never be a a Witch Cultist!" Emilia protested

PRISCILLA: pffftt, we all know that by now half-devil, but without the information here that would be what that Situation implies

WILHELM: while I do understand what Lady Priscilla said i have to agree with Lady Emilia, Subaru-Dono would never be part of the Cult"

ROSWAAL:he wouldn't just be a part of the Cult, if they actually worshipped Satella which has been actually called into question after everything we have seen, than Subaru as the Witchess 'beloved' would be something as like their King or their Prophet"

REM:What!?!" The Maid asked in disbelief she hated the idea of the Cult being in anyway associated to the boy she loved

After walking for a bit next to each other in silence the black-haired boy tried to break the awkward silence.

“So what would you like to do Subaru?” she asked with a high pitched voice in excitement.

“You’re asking what I want to do?!? You’re the one being a total shut-in for the last 400 years! Surely there must be something you want to do!” Subaru shouted in a hushed yell.

“Well…there is something I would… like-to-do,” she said with a husky voice at first but ended up stuttering in embarrassment.

“N-NO! Something other than…that.” the nasty eyed boy squeaked his face reddening like never before.

REM:That filthy Witch! How dare she?" The Maid was furious

RAM:Ha! Barusu really is a Pig!

RICARDO: The mini boss is really lucky!" The Wolfman was grinning from ear to ear

AL: Well my pall really is a chicke magnet, hahaha hahaha!"Al laughed, only to get kicked in the back by Priscilla

Petra and Emilia looked dumbfounded
PETRA/EMILIA: what did she mean?

Frederica head a headache as she hopped she wouldn't have to explain the flowers and the Bees to two innocent Children one of which was over and hundred years old!

N-NO! Something other than…that.” the nasty eyed boy squeaked his face reddening like never before.

“I’m good, Felt-sama would be happy to see you as well, I hope you and …Emilia-sama are doing fine,” he started saying cheerfully however, his smile faded after looking at the silver-haired candidate next to Subaru, his divine protections giving him pings that something about her seemed off to him.

Subarus heart skipped a beat and sweat flowed down his forehead when he realised who was standing in front of him, the Sword-Saint, he knew that if anyone could realise that the girl next to him was the Witch of Envy known as Satella, it was Reinhard.

Reinhard said nothing but her was incredibly happy about this, Subaru could just forget the title of the Sword Saint and the Witch of Envy! To him he wasn't dealing with Monsters beyond human comprehension, he didn't see the Sword Saint or the Witch first he saw them as Reinhard and Satella not the legendary beings but his friend and that girl who had a crush on him, Reinhard did have other friends besides Subaru but even they would never completely overlook the Sword Saint and see just Reinhard, the Boy loved by the World knew it was selfish, he knew it was wrong, but still it was all he had ever wished for her couldn't help but feel happy about this, but he also feels a little grief of the situation he had put his best friend in.

The eyes of the sword-saint darted towards the black-haired knight, he didn’t need his divine protections to realise how nervous he was, and he knew that he was the reason why his friend felt that way. Divine protections were giving him a ping that something was off, but they were also telling him that the girl in front of him was not lying and that her intentions were not malicious.

'I really am nothing but a monster,' he thought, realising that he was threatening his friend's beloved lady.

KADOMON:so that really was the Witch of Envy ! The most terrifying monster in history was at my store and I didn't even know it! We joked" the Appa merchant nearly fainted if it wasn't for his Wife supporting him

FELT:Well next time you just need to see what clothes she wears and you'll know.

PETRA: Why Is she apologizing?

WILHELM: The witch most likely fears that place could trigger bad memories for Subaru-dono.

CRUSH: The appa outpost was the checkpoint for arcs 1 and 3. It's logical to assume that place would only bring back bad memories for Subaru.
That saddened Kadomon and his family, who feared that their appa outpost had become a symbol of ill omen for our hero.

“H-hey! There’s nothing to be sorry about! I also have nice memories about this place!” Subaru started reassuring Satella, even if he was still unsure about her, he didn’t like seeing her sad.

REM: No Subaru-kun! Don't trust her!" The Maid said as if the Subaru on screen could hear her

Emilia just hugged the sleeping Subaru that was with her tighter

PETRA: No Subaru! Please be careful you can't trust that Witch she's bad news!

CRUSH: I really don't like what seeing" the Valkery said

WILHELM: You aren't jealous of the jealous Witch are you my Lady ?" The old man had a warm smile, despite Satella being the Witch of Envy the way she and the boy he wished to see as a grandson interacted spoke of nothing but genuine affection, if he actually went trough with adopting Subaru than the Witch of Envy might actually become his granddaughter-in-law, a thought that would have bothered him much more if hadn't been shown that another Witch created the White Whale and that it was Pandora who... but the Old man was wise enough to keep his thoughts to himself even though Satella Natsuki Van Astrea sounded funny as the Witch would marry into the very family that was sworn to guard the world from her.

Roswaal had his own thoughts surrounding one very important question:"how should I deal with this information?" Satella apparently could break free from the Seal whenever she wanted, her appearance in Sanctuary and this little "Date" she had with the boy had all but confirmed that, really it was a miracle the World was still standing and had seemingly more to do with the Witchess whims than anything else, furthermore Satella seems to be vastly more powerful than even legends had described her, and lastly the connection between Subaru and the Witch seemed to be almost laughably more intimate than he could have imagined in his wildest dreams so the Markgraf was wondering "would it be worth a shot to use Subaru-kun as a hostage?" He knew it would be dangerous to try to extort the Witch of Envy herself but with her capabilities it might be easy..."no, I don't fear death but I can risk dying before I resurrected my Teacher especially when now after 400 years I'm so close, I can't just risk it all for the temptation of a short cut in just have to be patient a little bit longer i just have to convince him that bringing my teacher back should be a part his "happy ending" how he calls it" like Wilhelm Roswaal keeps his thoughts to himself, it would be difficult he knew that but he also knew that it was possible, especially if he could bring the boy to take to Beatrice and Echidna and equates it to his own situation not being able to see his parents ever again.

Subaru would have been lying if he said he didn’t like the idea of stargazing, he occasionally did it back in the mansion. It was always really late for Emilia to go with him and he didn’t want to needlessly keep her awake, knowing that she needs to study and work hard for when she becomes a queen, Rem was still in her beauty sleep and he doubted that Otto or Garf would go along with it without it ending in some kind of shenanigans. Beatrice sometimes joined him but he was mostly on his own.

This didn’t however escape the ears of the half-elven girl, it made her sad hearing it but it only made her more determined to make this moment special for her beloved.

It was then when she noticed they were in a small clearing with a clear view of the sky.

Subaru realising how stupid this whole scene must have looked started to laugh as well.

Wilhelm smiled at the scene
WILHELM: This brings back fond memories of when I used to accompany my wife to see the beautiful flower fields she loved so much. Although I wasn't as fond of flowers as my wife, I loved spending time with her. Seeing her smile every time she admired the flower fields was a divine gift, and her laughter was the most beautiful melody I'd ever heard.

PETRA: That sounds so romantic"enchanted by the story.

Emilia remembered her date with Subaru in the flower field.

At first nobody said a single word, everyone in the Audience was frozen in sheer disbelief and utter horror at the scene being presented to them, they just remained in their seats shivering in helplessness at the Tragedy being presented to them.

It remained silent for a whole while, you could even hear a needle drop if someone would have brought one with them, the first Individual who found his voice again was Wilhelm Van Astrea, the Husband of the previous Sword Saint, who had long blamed the loss of his beloved wife on the White Whale until he learned in this very Theater that the one who Actually had destroyed his family was the Witch of Vainglory, as furry emboldened once again as he watched her do something so very similar to another family yet again, even if it chronologically had happened long before.

WILHELM: "How dare that damn witch do that to Subaru-dono's family?" Wilhelm, who saw Subaru as his grandson and was beginning to accept the idea of ​​having Satella as a granddaughter, could only watch in horror and helplessness.
