“I'm not a babysitter.”
“It's not babysitting when it's your brother, Jimmy.”
Jimmy's standing in his locker room, arms crossed, staring at Sami, who is leaning halfway through the door to talk to him.
“I was gonna go talk to Naomi!”
“She's your wife, you talk to her every day.”
“But-”
“Jimmy, please. I know you have plans, but I need you to watch him, just until the match is done.”
“What about Roman?”
“He is also in the match. You would know this if you read the schedule.”
Jimmy rolls his eyes and sighs. He's not actually irritated, but he did want to spend some time with his wife tonight before they had to go their separate ways. His body slumps and he shrugs.
“Sure Sami.”
His face lights up and he leaves the room, closing the door with a little too much force behind him. He's back in practically five seconds, dragging Jey behind him as they reenter the room. He's got his turtle clutches to his chest, and his face lights up when he sees Jimmy.
“Uce!”
Jimmy can't actually be mad at that face, and he smiles at his twin, opening his arms to let Jey throw himself at his older brother. Jey nuzzles his face against Jimmy's neck, giggling as he does so. Sami walks over to hug the two of them, pressing a kiss into the top of Jey's hair.
“I love you habibi, you be good for Jimmy, ok?”
“I will!”
He presses another kiss to Jey's head, patting Jimmy on the back before he hurriedly leaves the room, yelling a thank you as he speed walks.
“Can we watch a cartoon?”
“Sure uce.”
They sit down on the couch, Jey leaning against his twin as he pulls out his phone to open hulu. They're not even five minutes into the episode when there's a knock at the door, and Roman pokes his head in.
“Jimmy?”
“Little ears are here.” He points to Jey, who is currently pouting at the show being paused, slouched back against the couch with his arms crossed. “What do you need?”
“Uh.” Roman presses his lips together, glancing between the two of them. “How would you like another one?”
“Another one? Another what?”
Roman moves out the way, showing someone standing behind him, half hidden. It takes a moment for Jimmy to recognize him, but he hides a gasp with a cough when he realizes that it's Dean Ambrose, using one hand to hold onto his cousin's elbow, the other brought up to his face, thumb in his mouth. Jimmy turns to stare blankly at the wall in front of him, all plans of seeing his wife today fading before his eyes. He sighs, turning back to Roman, and motions at the couch where Jey is sitting.
“Be my guest Uce. I had no other plans anyway.”
Roman doesn't comment on the sarcasm in Jimmy's voice, just gently pushes Dean forward towards the room.
“You are a lifesaver, thank you so much.” He turns to Dean, bringing his hands up to hold his face in his hands, and softly kisses Dean's forehead. “Papa loves you, ok? Be good.” He mouths a ‘thank you’ at Jimmy before he leaves, bolting in a similar fashion to how Sami did, and Jimmy groans.
Thankfully the two of them are talking amongst themselves, doing something with Jey's turtle, and Jimmy sits down on the chair across from them, just watching them. A few minutes pass before Jimmy decides that they absolutely will be fine without any supervision for a few minutes, and he gets up to crouch in front of them.
“Hey boys?”
They both look up, Dean holding on tightly to the other's turtle.
“How would you feel if I left the room for just a tiny bit?”
“Where would you be going?”
Dean still hasn't talked directly to the older twin yet, but he doesn't take any offense, focusing the conversation on Jey so that the other doesn't get overwhelmed.
“I'd just be saying hi to Naomi.”
“Nomi?” Jey gasps excitedly, sitting up straight.
“Yes, but you would stay here. I'll make sure to tell her you say hi though.”
Jey huffs but he turns to Dean, and whispers at him. Dean whispers back after a moment, nodding softly.
“We have decided yous leaving is ok if you leave the shows.” Jey's voice is bossy, and he points at where Jimmy's phone is in his pocket when he's done speaking.
“You have to promise to be calm ok?”
“We promise.”
“I need a promise from you too Dean.”
Dean huffs from where he's sitting, crossing his arms and leaning against the other man. Jey elbows Dean softly when he doesn't say anything at first.
“I promise Jimmy.”
Jimmy takes his phone out of his pocket, unlocking it and opening youtube. He has a kids account specifically for Jey, and he makes sure that it's locked on that profile before he hands it to the two boys.
“Do not open that door unless you hear it's me.”
They both nod, but Jimmy can tell they're more focused on the screen, scrolling through the videos to find one they agree on. He gets up from his squat, groaning when his knees pop. They seem distracted enough, and he watches them the whole time he closes the door, shoulders slumping in relief when he hears it click. He looks around the hallway, making sure no one else is there to see him, and he quickly walks to where he last saw his wife. It takes him a bit to find her, and they talk for way longer than he meant to, but can you really blame him? He leaves when she has to go get ready, protesting the whole time they separate, even while kissing her goodbye. He waits until she's fully walked away until he runs back to his locker room, really hoping the two haven't murdered each other, or somehow managed to install a virus on his phone. He opens the door, turns around, and stops dead in his tracks, eye widening in shock.
“Please help me.” Solo is sitting criss crossed on the floor, looking up at him while Dean and Jey are sitting on either side of him. That's not what Jimmy's most surprised about, it's the handful of butterfly clips placed randomly in his hair and the stickers covering his face that shock Jimmy. To his knowledge, the boys hadn't even had access to any of that when he left, so how they hell are they torturing Solo right now?
“I came in looking for you,” As Solo talks, Dean places a sticker of a smiley face on the bridge of his nose. “And they just attacked me. Literally wrestled me to the floor and I don't even know what happened next.”
“What- boys-” Jimmy's stuttering, trying to figure out what to say. “What did you do?”
“Pretty!” It's the first word that Dean has said directly to Jimmy without being asked to, and he says it with so much joy that Jimmy has to hold back a snort of laughter. Jey nods from next to him, taking another clip out of his pocket and placing it on a strand of his hair. With his hair being so short, it looks even more funny, and he looks around the room for his phone, quickly taking a photo before his younger brother can smack it out of his hands.
“Jimmy this isn't funny!” Growing up, Solo had definitely dealt with a lot of torture from his older brothers, but he thought his days of getting forced to play dress up with them was over. Apparently, he was wrong. Very, very wrong. He's never even interacted with Dean outside of seeing him with Roman, and now the man's currently leaning on him while carefully placing stickers on his face, the tip of his tongue peeking out from his mouth in concentration.
“Shhhh, you'll be ok.” Jey drags his hand down Solo's face, careful to not rip off any of Dean's stickers, and covers his brother's mouth. “We make you pretty.”
Jimmy's shoulders are shaking and he's trying his hardest not to laugh at the look of absolute despair his younger brother is giving him. Dean's humming a soft tune now, placing a pink hello kitty sticker on Solo's ear.
“Help me, please.”
Jimmy takes a deep breath to calm down, controlling his laughter. “Boys, I don't think Solo is enjoying this.”
“Don care.” Jey doesn't even look at him while he responds, but Dean freezes. Jimmy can barely see it happen out of the corner of his eye, and Solo must feel it, because they both turn to look at the man. He's just staring at Solo for a few moments, before his bottom lip starts to wobble. Solo's eyes widen and he quickly leans forward, pulling Dean into his arms to stop him from crying. Jey pouts, but more than likely just because he can't continue his torment of hair clips.
“Sorry-”
“No, don't apologize, it's alright. The stickers make me look very pretty.”
Jimmy snorts and Solo glares at him, mouthing ‘shut up’ at him.
“You fink so?”
“I do! They're very nice.”
“Well I knows my clips are pretty.” Jey looks unbothered, petting his turtle with his free hand.
“M hungry.” Dean's voice is muffled from where he's shoving his face against Solo's shoulder, clutching onto the Samoan's shirt.
“WAFFLE HOUSE!”
Jimmy grimaces at the volume of his twin's voice, Solo doing the same. Jey has a wide smile on his face, and he leans over to poke at Dean's visible ear.
“We should gets waffle house.”
Jimmy hears Solo mumble something that sounds suspiciously like ‘you and that fucking waffle house oh my god’ but he's not too sure that's what he hears. Before he can respond, the door is opening, and the four of them twist to face it, seeing Roman walk in.
“Hey ba- what the hell happened.”
“Papa!” Dean shoots up and runs to wrap his arms around him, nuzzling against his chest. “Made Solo pretty.”
Solo blink up at his cousin, staring at him with a blank tone. “I got a makeover.”
“Well you look….nice.”
“You can laugh at me, it's ok.”
“No, I really like the whole,” he waves his hand in the general direction of Solo. “Butterfly badass look you got going on. Jimmy, where the hell did you get stickers and hair clips?”
Jimmy is fully unprepared to lie, and he just stares at his cousin, trying to come up with an excuse.
“Got 'em from a bag we found!”
Thank god for his twin brother, always having his back.
“We went outside when Jimmy left to see nomi.”
Nevermind. Jey is a backstabbing traitor, even if he's not meaning to be.
“When Jimmy what?”
An angry Roman is not a good Roman, and he can see Solo make a cross over his chest when their cousin's voice changes.
“He went to say hi to his naomi, papa. But he left us the shows!”
Roman's smiling at Dean, and Dean smiles back. It would look like a soft moment, but Jimmy can tell he's gonna need to sleep with one eye open tonight and a chair propped under his bedroom door handle.
“Oh did he now?”
“Yeah! But we didn't go far papa, jus out the door.”
“Well I'm glad you had fun with Solo!”
Roman turns to glare at Jimmy, and he gulps. Solo is just as scared as his older brother is, and the anger isn't even directed at him. Jey is currently clipping and unclipping the hair clips to the skin on his fingers, not paying any attention to what's going on in the room around him.
“So uh,” Jimmy is pretty certain that Roman won't murder him in front of Dean, so he's determined to keep them together for as long as possible. “The boys were asking for waffle house.”
“WAFFLE HOUSE?”
Solo groans as Jey leans all his weight on him, throwing his hands up in excitement.
“I heard yelling?” Sami -damnit, Jimmy didn't even hear the door open again- is standing behind Roman, a smile on his face as he looks at Jey.
“Tamā! We decorated Solo!”
“I see that, that must have been fun!”
“Oh,” Roman says, and Jimmy curses under his breath. “They definitely had a lot of fun. Alone. When Jimmy left them. To go see Naomi.”
“Hi.” Jimmy waves at Sami, smiling weakly. He might need to hire private security at this point. He's absolutely screwed.
Sami smiles, walking over to ruffle Jey's hair. “Well habibi, why don't we all go to waffle house and have some nice dinner. Then me and Roro can have a nice long chat with Jimmy.”
Jey can't sense the amount of danger his twin's life is in, and he smiles, nodding in excitement. “Please!”
Roman clears his throat before he speaks again. “Well let's all get changed then we can head over. And Solo you can fix….that.”
They all leave the room, Dean and Jey talking excitedly to each other about food, and Solo bumps into Jimmy's shoulder on his way out. He has most of the stickers removed, stuck on his hand instead, and he's working on untangling the butterfly clips. “Naomi's on your life insurance, right uce?”
Jimmy groans and rolls his eyes, flipping his brother off. Solo chuckles and holds his hands up in mock surrender, speaking before he walks completely out of the room. “Just looking out for her. Because you are going to die. It was nice knowing you!”
Alone in the room, Jimmy puts his head in his hands, groaning once again. He absolutely is going to die, he's sure of it. At least he's going to get some waffle house before he kicks the bucket. Maybe they'll be nice enough and finish the job before he has to pay for his part of the bill. Knowing them though, they'd just resurrect him to pay. He walks out of the room, still trying to figure out where they got the stickers and clips from, but at least he still has the photo of Solo.
