Summary
Yanqing stands now. It’s too quick, and he feels his panic is obvious with the way he springs up. He masks himself by giving himself something to do- he rushes to grab a paper towel and wets it in the sink. He returns to the stall with heavy feet to wipe at his father’s face. He hopes to wipe away the alcohol, the changes, the sin from his eyes. But Jing Yuan simply grabs his wrist and gently takes the paper towel away, setting it down on the ground.
He stands, and he pulls Yanqing with him, and now they’re both standing, and now Yanqing is trying to pull away- but Jing Yuan grabs him by the shoulders and kisses him.
(Or, Jing Yuan gets drunk, and as his loyal retainer, Yanqing has to be there for him.)
