Lord Falkus marched into the room, swaying his arms in a dramatic manner. His teal robe beneath his silver belts and chains matched the facility’s interior like he was a piece carved out. His titanium white mustache twitched up with his wide grin. He took a big inhale to start talking, but his words caught in his throat as soon as his pale eyes landed on me.
I stared, deadpan.
“Am I hallucinating?” Falkus said, his grin still lingering like a permanent piece of decoration. “You’re thick skinned. What did I expect?” He swayed his hands in the air, mostly talking to himself.
I would smirk.
“Quan Chi is…a prison-agent now.” Sonya mumbled.
Falkus shot up his white eyebrows. “Fancy fancy.”
Sonya placed the circular device on the table. “This is what we found after chasing one of the demon cyborgs. Highly resembles Metalrealm technology.” Her intense gaze bore holes into his head.
“Oh,” Falkus straightened his back, and extended his palm. He twisted his wrist, as though there was an invisible orb around the device. “Rhenium. Platinum. Osmium.” He mumbled.
“That’s the second thing we know now.” I said.
“I’ll be right back.” Falkus snatched the device.
Sonya nearly slammed his hand down, her voice firm. “No.”
Falkus stared at her for a moment. “Right…”
“MRD must be informed immediately.”
