Kaveh was happily married to a man named Zalmai. Kaveh’s dad owned a multi-million-dollar company, which meant that whoever married Kaveh basically hit a goldmine. Zalmai was a businessman who needed a deal with Kaveh’s father. So he wooed Kaveh, and well, Kaveh’s dad decided to let Kaveh choose which brother who wanted to marry from the Haravat family. Of course, Kaveh chose Zalmai while Kaveh’s younger sister was married to Alhaitham.
Then after many years…Kaveh was killed…he didn’t know how, but it had happened. It was hazy, but all he knew was that before he died, he had seen his own sister with his husband.
But instead of going to heaven, he finds himself waking up on the day he had to choose between Zalmai and Alhaitham
He couldn’t believe his eyes! There he was, right in front of the mirror, 5 years younger! He hears Soraya throwing a tantrum in the hallway over wanting a prettier dress. Kaveh couldn’t stand her voice after what he saw. His memories were hazy, but he knew he had to avoid Soraya and Zalmai. He throws on a normal white blouse with black trousers. His hair and makeup the regular as well, and he gets in the car with Soraya to head to the office to choose wedding alliances. Soraya was gushing about Zalmai and just being annoying. Kaveh did his best to just put on a smile and nod along. Then, after some time, they arrived at the office. They were visiting the place where Zalmai and Alhaitham work.
Soraya asks, “Why are you wearing such plain clothes? You won’t attract anyone’s attention like that”. Kaveh rolls his eyes, “It’s my attention that needs to be attracted anyway”.
After some time, they had walked into the office, and the second Kaveh saw Zalmai, he almost lost his composure. All those horrible memories from the 5 years seemed to take over his mind the second he caught a glimpse of Zalmai. But he kept it together and sat down. Kaveh’s father spoke up, “Alright Kaveh why don’t you make your choice”.
Kaveh glanced at Zalmai. Zalmai was rich and handsome, but he was a cheater and Kaveh recalls him hitting Kaveh at times too. Then his eyes dart off to…Alhaitham. Alhaitham was cold and stoic. He had a horrible reputation as well. He also wasn’t going to inherit the family company, as he was disliked by the family since he had autism. Now, Kaveh didn’t care about that, but Kaveh was worried about Alhaitham’s reputation. Kaveh tries to remember any interactions with him, but it was never more than just a cold hello or glare. Still, he couldn’t pick Zalmai.
“I’d like to marry Alhaitham”, Kaveh says.
Everyone in the room is beyond shocked. Alhaitham in high society is not considered the ideal marriage candidate, while Zalmai is.
Soraya exclaims, “So it looks like I’ll marry Zalmai!”
Zalmai doesn't look too happy. Kaveh was the golden goose he had his eyes on, but Kaveh wanted to marry his brother, who no one else wanted to marry. This had to be some kind of sick joke.
Even Kaveh’s father intervened, “Kaveh, are you sure?”
“Yes, father, I am sure”, Kaveh reassured.
Soraya butts in, “Yeah just let him marry him!”
Kaveh's dad clears his throat, “Alright then Soraya will marry Zalmai and Kaveh will marry…Alhaitham”.
