   Summary

   In 1943, Bucky fell in love with a songbird on the front line of the European theatre. Months later, Bucky fell from a train, leaving Steve with nothing but memories and guilt and leaving Lillian with a ring, seemingly putting an end to their love story.

   Years later, Steve is out of the ice and slowly carving his place in this new world. He meets his new neighbour in D.C., a young social worker who feels familiar to him in a way he can’t quite place.

   As Steve navigates his job at S.H.I.E.L.D., the Winter Soldier has been deployed to take out Hydra threats in the city of Washington. The world is much smaller than we realize paths are bound to cross.
