“Are you sure you didn’t grab the wrong person?”
Shinya asked while being held and kissed on the neck.
“That tickles, haha”
“…”
“You know, lots of girls are after you, you could unleash it on them. Ouch.”
He bit him.
“Hey, Guren, I’ll kick you.”
And he kicked Guren into the stomach.
“…”
Guren was thrown into the wall. He was silent, and he stood up with a weird face.
“Wah, ahahah, what are you making that face for?”
He was pouting.
“You’re annoying. Get out.”
“Ah, being used and thrown away is that what a girl feels after being treated poorly?”
“Shut up.”
“So, what was this about?”
“…”
“Okay, I’ll ask others if you did it to them-“
Shinya just turned to walk away.
“Tch.”
“What?”
Guren sat at his table.
“Sit.”
“Eh, am I a dog? Hello, Guren, treat your comrades well, you’re already getting demerits here.”
“We’re not at school.”
Shinya smiled and sat on the sofa.
“Do you have sandwiches?”
“Uhhhh…”
“What’s with you? You struggle so much, I’m the victim here.”
“…”
“So?”
“…”
“Hello?”
“…”
“Gureeeen~”
“Ah, shut up, I’m thinking.”
“What are you thinking so hard about?”
“…”
Shinya looked at his complicated face, he found some cookies on the table and started eating them.
“…”
“Guren, do you love me?”
“I hate you.”
Immediate response.
“Hey, is that what you do to the people you hate?”
Shinya pointed at his neck where the bite was visible.
Guren’s face was dark.
“Sorry.”
“I’ve known you for a long time, but you’re getting weirder.”
“…”
Shinya sighed, he stood up and walked to the table. Then, he reached out his hand and patted Guren’s head.
“What are you doing?”
“Even if I’m the victim here, you’re wearing such a complicated face, I couldn’t take it.”
“…”
“Good boy, good boy.”
“Oi, Shinya, want me to cut your hand off?”
“Oof, how scary.”
He still continued patting.
Guren visibly relaxed and then he just grabbed Shinya’s hand.
“…”
“…”
The atmosphere felt too ambiguous, Shinya gulped and felt like he needs to run away now.
“Don’t-“
Shinya said, but Guren kissed him before he could say anything else.
Honestly, this was a huge problem.
Guren had a lot of challenges throughout his life and he dealt with everything by himself. It’s not like he needed anyone before, but there was a time when he needed Mahiru, and then he just needed Shinya.
There was something deep inside he couldn’t put into words, but right now, this person made him feel this special type of comfort and he just wanted more of it.
Shinya wanted to kick him again at first, but there was something in the Guren’s eyes that stopped him. Guren looked like a beast, that needed an outlet for his emotions.
Shinya didn’t enjoy being used, and he pushed him but was pulled in again.
Then, Shinya just bit Guren’s lip.
Guren withdrew, but he still held Shinya’s collar in his hands, their faces were super close.
“Hah, seriously, I’ll break your hand if you don’t stop.”
Shinya panted. His face was slightly red and his heartbeat raced, he heard it too loudly in his head. Guren must’ve noticed, not like that matters.
Guren stood up and walked around the table.
Shinya didn’t move, he was too stunned and alert. He didn’t understand what’s going on.
Guren came closer and hugged Shinya tightly.
“Just a bit more…”
Shinya blushed, he couldn’t push this guy, he felt embarrassed and excited at the same time.
He cared about Guren, but it’s not like Shinya could allow his emotions to control him. Desires are dangerous. He knew that better than anyone else.
Guren wrapped one arm around his head and another around his waist. He then breathed near Shinya’s ear:
“I…..ve…you”
“Wha-“
Guren hugged him tightly and Shinya couldn’t say anything for a while.
The clock was ticking annoyingly loud, compared to this his heartbeat was much faster and he wasn’t sure if it was his or Guren’s anymore.
He didn’t know what’s got into him. The only thing he noticed was that pitiful look on Guren’s face as if he’s looking at someone who’s already dead.
’Am I a ghost? I thought about this but Guren is like this now. Last time he used everyone saying it’s for his sake and now he looks even worse…‘
Shinya tried to calm down and then he asked:
“Guren, what happened to you?”
He patted Guren’s back and when Guren relaxed a bit, Shinya kicked him around twice as hard as last time.
Guren “gah”-ed and rolled into the wall with a loud “bam” sound.
Shinya took a deep breath in and out. He tried to stay calm but he was really pissed now.
“Oops.”
Guren said, when he saw Shinya’s smiling face.
“Hey, you~”
“Um.”
“You. Want. To. Die~”
“Uuuuuummmmm, no?”
“Hahahhahaha.”
^^
Shinya took out his rifle.
“Byakkomaru, bang.”
“Aaaaaa, wait!!”
Guren was running away and explosions were heard everywhere.
“Hahhhahhaha.”
“I can explain! Wait, wait!”
“Bang.”
“Bang.”
“Bang.”
“Get him, Byakkomaru, bang!”
Guren was jumping around like a pet, a sight Shinya enjoyed the most.
“Bang!”
“Enemy attack?”
Mito run towards the noise and saw Shinya pointing his rifle and trying to kill Guren.
“Shinya, what’s going on?”
“Guren needs some discipline. Come back later.”
“Ah. What?”
“Bang.”
“Mito, help!”
Was it because he’s not doing his job properly?
Well, it’s not like she can interfere, if Shinya’s that mad then it was for a reason.
Right? Still…
That looks scary.
Shinya is scary, I better go. I’m sorry, commander. Rest in peace.
“Bang!”
“Wahhhhh, Shinya, I already said I’m sorry!”
“Can’t hear you. Bang!”
It’s not like it’s the first time they’re fighting, eh, boys are always like that.
I hope they won’t destroy the whole building though…
Mito left with that one concern in her head.
Laughter echoed through the corridors, and explosions and ‘boom’ sounds were heard everywhere.
Mito explained what she saw to others, and they all wished Lt.Colonel to rest peacefully.
“I hope they won’t fight for long, I’m sleepy.”
Goshi yawned.
“S-Shouldn’t we stop them?”
Sayuri felt concerned.
“Sayuri, do you want to face that enraged Shinya?”
Shigure asked.
“Uhhhhh…”
“Let’s go sleep. They’re not going to kill each other anyway.”
Shigure suggested the best course of action.
“BOOM”, the walls were shaking.
“Maybe…”
Sayuri was worried, while Shigure looked indifferent.
“Ugh.”
Mito definitely didn’t want to go back there.
“Yeah, whatever.”
“Good luck, Guren.”
Goshi waved into the air.
The team was tired and left their commander in the building that was shaking as if it was an earthquake.
—
So, the story continues...
Guren never says anything!
Of course, Shinya was mad for being left in the dark for so long. He felt much better after making Guren run around the building, while Guren was pointlessly trying to hide.
Guren felt that he deserved it, he was tired of his own secrets. He didn’t try to protect himself and didn’t touch his katana.
He was running away and screaming, waiting until his hunter was satisfied.
It was fun! For Shinya or maybe for the both of them, who knows.
The team later took the popcorn and watched the show from the neighbouring building. Being close was too dangerous.
No one could sleep anyway. Too loud!!
—
When Guren finally got to his room, he looked like a zombie.
“Guren-sama, next time you need to pick a fight with Shinya-sama, go to the training ground.”
“I didn’t.”
“…”
Shigure didn’t trust him.
“I only know you’re somehow at fault, Guren-sama.”
“How would you know that???”
“Kan. (Intuition)”
“…”
—
The next day Shinya looked extra happy, he was radiating that happy smile everywhere.
It was just too bright.
On the contrary, Guren looked so dark, as if the darkest clouds were crushing him right at that moment.
Looking at Shinya was too bright for him.
“Share your light elsewhere…”
“Wut?”
Shinya was chomping on the cookies.
“Do you need help?”
“Leave me alone,” Guren groaned.
“Ahahaha.”
“Go away, dammit…”
He covered his eyes and blushed a bit under his bangs.
‘This is the worst.’
Guren felt weirdly happy.
But he didn’t know how much Shinya enjoyed the sight.
‘He’s definitely an idiot.’
Shinya thought with a smile and took a bite of a cookie.
