“Does it Happen All at Once?” Timeline and Oneshots

Summary:

”There has to be some pattern to it,” Michael says, fidgeting with his pen. “If I could just solve why it happens to some bots but not others, why it hasn’t happened to more than one of the same set, yet… and then of course, there’s the matter of reproduceability.”

“Aww, Mikey~” Jeremy teases. “I thought you said you didn’t want kids?”

or: while I was working on the historical timeline of Freddy’s for my Security Breach fics, I kept getting distracted with (mostly) the 80s. So here’s somewhere to store all the little fics I come up with for that time period.

Latest Chapter: The Big Oops
When he arrives, Freddy’s Wonderland is buzzing, but not in the normal, midmorning-Saturday kind of way. Following the source of the commotion leads him exactly where he was headed anyway: the Mangle has somehow gotten into the exposed rafters above the Prize Counter, and several people are attempting to get it down, including the one he’s here to see.

Chapter 1: Timeline

Summary:

Other chapters will probably get shuffled around as new oneshots get added — I plan to keep this set in as close to chronological order as I can manage — but this one will always be the front.

Not everything on here is necessarily set in stone, either; the events themselves should stay accurate, but I don’t have a solid idea of specific timings between 1990 and 2040, which is unfortunately an entire 50-year range, haha. The stories I have in mind mostly correspond to the timing of the games (at least, as I imagine them), and the way this timeline differs from the events of said games.

Chapter Text

1965:
-Henry Emily and William Afton graduate college.

1967:
-Fredbear’s Family Diner opens. Henry and William play Fredbear and Springbunny for live shows.

1969:
-Henry Emily marries Katy Holland.
-Training tapes for Fredbear and Springbunny are recorded.

1970:
-Michael Afton is born.

1971:
-Charlotte Emily is born.

1975?
-Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza opens.
-Katy Emily dies of illness.

1980:
-Elizabeth Afton is born.

1982:
-William designs the first prototype for the Toy line (hoping to open a third location). Henry recommends something a bit less scary.
-[“Patterns Form and Feel Important”] begins; rather than scrapping the prototype, he’s kept as a babysitter for the Afton kids.
-An employee is maimed by a springlock suit. Henry and William decide they’re the only ones qualified enough to wear them.

1983:
-The Toy line is completed, and Freddy’s Wonderland opens.
-Mike grows attached / Foxfield becomes.

1984:
-Jeremy Fitzgerald begins working part-time at Freddy’s Wonderland. He and Mike become friends.

1985:
-William attempts to kill Charlie, and Mike defends her; Will dies in the struggle.
-Michael and Elizabeth are taken into the Emily household.
-[“When I am With You, I am Real”] begins; Springbunny becomes.
-Fredbear’s Family Diner closes its doors.
-Henry partners with Fazbear Entertainment to continue running the other two locations.

1987:
-The Mangle becomes.
-[”The Big Oops”] begins; Jeremy is hospitalized due to a workplace incident.

2010ish?:
-Henry and Michael found Emily Robotics.

2020ish?:
-Elizabeth takes control of Fazbear Entertainment.

2030ish?:
-Mike begins early concept work on the Glamrocks.

2035?:
-Elizabeth discovers Vanessa and attempts to involve her in the company.

2040:
-Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex opens.

2042:
-Vanessa becomes a beta-tester for Fazbear Entertainment’s new VR game.
-Watch and Learn Mk3 is introduced into the animatronic systems.
-[“Growing Pains”] begins; Bonnie goes missing in December.

2043:
-Gregory finds himself trapped in the Pizzaplex.
