A long time ago...
There was a family who owned a big farm located in a small province and this farm became the family's main source of income.
The family is composed of 4 members, the father, Gabriel, his wife, Anastasia, and their two sons Robert and Lukas.
The large farm was divided to both sons after their parents passed away. The two sons then soon had their own families and both had one child.
Robert's son's name is Henry, while Lukas’ son's name is Will. Henry and Will became very close and treated each other like real siblings.
One day, Lukas invited Robert and his family to have a get together in a nearby waterfall to celebrate Will's 24th birthday. Robert then brought Henry and his wife Selena to meet up with Lukas in the nearby waterfall they were talking about.
While the others were swimming, Henry and Will explored the place to look for other interesting places they could go to. They then saw a beautiful cave.
The two returned to their parents and asked them to join and explore the cave.
All of them then proceed to enter the cave. Everyone was amazed at how beautiful the cave was. Not knowing that there were creatures inside the cave that weren't supposed to be discovered.
They then continued to explore deeper into the cave not knowing that these creatures would change their lives forever.
As Will pointed his flashlight deeper into the cave, they saw some creatures hanging upside down. The creatures were then woken up and attacked each one of them.
Fortunately enough, Robert brought with him his machete and was able to fight the creatures until they were able to exit the cave.
Everyone was weak upon exiting the cave and no one had the strength to stand back up. All of them were full of bite marks and scratches. Everyone later collapsed after losing so much blood.
Night came, and everyone was still unconscious. Will was the first one to wake up and he noticed that all of his scars were gone and he felt more than alright.
Still confused, Will decided to look for the others. He found almost everyone near him except his mother. At that moment, an unexplainable emotion filled Will's head.
Henry, who just woke up, noticed the same. Also confused, Henry saw Will who was standing close to him looking very tense.
Will looked at his direction and he saw how red his eyes were.
In a blink of an eye, Will was gone from Henry's sight. He was speechless at what he saw. Will disappear so fast!
After recovering from what he saw, he stood up to follow the direction Will went. And he was shocked at how fast he reached the cave.
Henry, who was still digesting what happened, heard a loud scream from Will inside the cave. Upon entering the cave, Henry was surprised that he was able to see inside even though it was dark.
He then went further inside to look for Will. He found his cousin holding the lifeless body of his aunt in his arms. He also noticed that his aunt's bite marks did not heal just like the bite marks he and Will had.
Along the lifeless body of Will's mother, dead bodies of the creatures who bit them earlier were all over the place. Looks like the creatures died after they bit them. Henry comforted his devastated cousin before they decided to go back to the others to inform them what happened.
Once Henry and Will returned, Henry saw his father holding his mother's weak body in his arms and saw the bite marks still not healing like it was supposed to.
Henry rushed towards his mother when he saw her hand trying to reach out to him. The moment he came close to his mother, Selena coughed off blood from her mouth causing an unexplainable feeling of thirst felt by Robert, Henry, Lukas, and Will.
This brought an idea to Henry. For whatever reason the bite of those creatures did something to them and it made them survive. Maybe it'll be the same if they will transfer the bite to other people.
Henry then asked his father Robert to bite his mother and try to turn her like them. Also with the feeling of an unexplainable thirst, Robert agreed to his son's suggestion and bit his wife. When Robert tasted the blood, there was an unexplainable feeling of power coursing through his veins, but at the same time the taste of blood made him want more and more.
Seeing that his father is about to suck every ounce of blood left from his mother that may lead to her death, he then used all his strength to pull away his father from his mother. Robert, who lost control at that moment, was shocked by what happened. He was thrown away with an unexplainable strength by his son to a nearby tree that caused it to fall down.
Henry, who was also shocked by what he did, was caught back to reality when he heard his mother scream. He saw the bite wounds of his mother slowly disappearing as she slowly transformed. It did prove that the bite did work.
Lukas, who saw everything that had happened, also did the same thing with his wife. After waiting for a few more moments, his wife was still lifeless in his arms. Seeing what happened with his aunt, Henry concluded that the bite only works when the person is still alive and not completely dead.
After recovering from everything, The five of them then returned to the farm to bury the body of Will's mom. After the burial, the five of them gathered inside Robert's home to discuss everything that had happened.
They spent the following days trying to study what has happened to them or what they might have become. They also discovered that they can't eat human food anymore. They chose to feed on animals in which they hunt in the forests and suck out their blood.
They trained themselves to control their thirsts whenever a human is close to them so that they won't be able to do anything reckless that may lead to killing innocent people and causing further chaos once they are exposed.
They travelled to different parts of the world to search for explanations and find others that might also exist just like them. And there are indeed others who had the same fate as them. They then gathered information from different clans all over the world and they all said the same thing. Same information from what they have gathered from other clans.
The creatures that bit them are a rare species of bats that are close to extinction and aren't found just in any cave. They cannot go out in the sunlight that is why they choose to hide deeper inside the caves to avoid light. These bats are very sensitive to any form of light and due to their survival instinct, they attack everything that lights up.
These bats feed on animal or even human blood if given a chance, which makes vampires have the same appetite as them. Vampires feed on human blood but can survive also by eating animal blood. The only difference is that drinking human blood makes a vampire stronger compared to drinking animal blood.
They were also told that not all people can survive the transformation. Some die during the turn, or even some die immediately after the bite. There is a certain combination inside a person's DNA that makes them able to survive the bite which eventually turns them into a vampire.
Pure blooded vampires are stronger, faster, and the only ones who have the ability to read not just the minds of other vampires but also humans with just a touch.
Pure blooded vampires are also the only ones who can turn other people into vampires. If a normal vampire who was turned by a pure blooded vampire bites another human, that human will immediately die.
That is why pure blooded vampires are considered to be royalties and are respected by vampires since they are more powerful and are one of the few who are able to survive direct bites of the bats.
As time goes by, vampires decide to establish a council which serves as the government for all vampires. They are the ones who established the laws for all vampires to follow to maintain the safety and peace of both humans and vampires.
A total of six councils were established for each clan that are spread around the world. One council is made for each clan and is composed of all the last pure blooded vampires for each clan. After that, they then established a head council that will be the highest council among all councils that will be composed of the six leaders from the different councils.
Being one of the first pure blooded vampires and leader of the Chankimha clan, Robert instantly became a member of the head council. His brother Lukas, along with Henry, and Will were part of the Chankimha clan's council since they are also pure blooded vampires.
Since then, all head council members were given their respective army of vampires for their protection and also for their clan's protection.
The first order the head council made was to conduct a worldwide search for the rare species of bats and eliminate them all to avoid causing more damage. This is also to avoid increasing the number of vampires that will soon become another mouth to feed.
Having few numbers of vampires makes it easy for the council to monitor all the vampires and maintain peace. It also controls the amount of consumed blood that vampires will have that lessens the risk of exposing their existence to humans.
If one fails to follow the rules set by the council, they will then be judged based on the weight of their violation. Either they will be banished, locked up, or the worse punishment is to be killed by burning their bodies.
This is the only way a vampire can die since they also discovered that they can go out in the sunlight without hurting.
