Ahsoka knew about the inquisitors and how the Empire would do anything it could to catch the remaining Jedi. She had faced one of them after all. She knew that had to be careful. Careful was not something that her master Anakin had taught her but it was still how she had to be now.
But she was still going to help people who needed her. So when she found a family who was suffering. She did her best to help whoever she found. And the children in this family really did need her help. One of them seemed really sick.
But the adults were actually strange. None of this felt right, but Ahsoka ignored those feelings. Helping people was more important. The children didn’t seem like they had eaten in awhile so Ahsoka let the family eat with her.
The family left soon after, but it didn’t take long before Ahsoka started to feel really off. At first it was just stomach pain and she tried to ignore it. She had been a soldier after all, she was used to pain. But then it got so much worse. Her stomach hurt worse than it ever had and it was getting hard to breathe. Everything was blurry too and staying awake…
Something was horribly wrong. Horribly wrong.
And she needed to get help. It was hard to think. What planet was she on again? Or was it a moon? It was… it was near Mandalore. Mandalore…
Ahsoka knew some people who could help her there. Maybe. Maybe…
She just barely managed to notify them before she passed out.
**
Even when she was unconscious, Ahsoka felt pain. Her stomach… this wasn’t normal. What was wrong? Poison. At one point she woke up and someone was trying to grab her. A bounty hunter. She knew them right away. She tried to move to get away but she couldn’t. He’d probably turn her into the inquisitors.
She had to do something.
But she couldn’t.
But then there was a blaster shot. The bounty hunter fell down. Ahsoka passed out again.
For… she wasn’t sure how long she drifted in and out of consciousness.
“You’re not going to like this,” a voice said at one point and she felt a sharp feeling in her arm. A shot.
Ahsoka passed out again.
**
Ahsoka drifted in and of consciousness again but when she finally felt more stable, she realized she was in a cozy room that looked like a guest room. A grand one at that. It looked like something out of what might have been in Padme’s place or…
That was when the door opened and two people came in.
The first one ran over and hugged her. His former strawberry blond hair somehow looked even less strawberry and he was so much taller than last time.
“Ahsoka, you’re okay!” Korkie exclaimed, still not letting go of her.
Ahsoka nodded. That was when Bo came over and she thought she must be hallucinating. But Bo and Korkie didn’t disappear,
“What are you wearing?” Ahsoka asked, looking at Bo. She could hardly believe it.
“It’s called a dress,” Bo said, looking down at her blue dress. Dresses just didn’t seem like Bo. “I would have thought Jedi knew what dresses were.”
“But you’re you,” Ahsoka asked.
“It’s Satine’s,” Korkie said. “It’s weird that Bo’s trying to act and look like—“
He didn’t get to finish what he was saying but Ahsoka knew he had been going to say Bo was trying to act like Satine. Ahsoka had seen stories on the holonet about Mandalore about that recently. It hadn’t even been a year since they had gotten Mandalore back from Maul and it seemed Bo was trying to lead like Satine.
Maybe act like her too.
Ahsoka thought Bo should try and act like herself, even though she had liked Satine. Ahsoka always had. But she also liked Bo now. She knew who Bo really was.
“Why are you two talking about what I’m wearing when Ahsoka was literally just poisoned?” Bo asked, rolling her eyes.
“Poisoned?” Ahsoka asked. She had thought maybe that was the case but she hadn’t been sure. It caused her stomach to twist.
“Yes,” Bo said. “You’re lucky you were nearby and I got there when I did.” She paused. “That bounty hunter would have gotten you and—“
“Taken me to the inquisitors,” Ahsoka muttered.
“The Jedi hunters?” Korkie whispered.
Bo sighed and tried to put her hands in her pockets but the dress didn’t have them so she just looked frustrated. Ahsoka wondered where she was hiding her weapons. No way she didn’t have any.
“Yes, the Jedi hunters,” Ahsoka said as she sat up. “Thank you for helping me.”
“We’re glad we could,” Korkie said. “Bo and I went ourselves.” He motioned to his aunt. “She didn’t want to get too many other people involved.”
Because it could be dangerous. She had put them all in danger by coming. Ahsoka already knew that the Empire was trying to convince Bo to bend the knee but she was refusing.
Ahsoka didn’t want to cause issues.
“It’s not a problem,” Bo said, but Ahsoka knew that it could be. She didn’t want the inquisitors here coming after Bo and Korkie. They were in enough trouble as it was
“I won’t be here long,” Ahsoka said.
“You can be here as long as you want,” Korkie said.
Bo nodded and seemed to mean it but still Ahsoka would leave soon. She didn’t want her friends to get hurt.
