   Summary

Caspar Shaw gave everything up for family. When her mother went missing, she took on the burden of starting the hunt. Selling her soul, she contracts Malakai to "be a true friend" as they search the wild, unknown corners of America.

But what happens when Caspar learns it was all in vain? When her mother calls her and says to stop looking?

Malakai has a solution: give his lovely contractor a brand new family.
