   Summary

   In an alternate universe to "The Ties That Bind," King Viserys Targaryen hastily weds his eldest son and granddaughter in a last minute attempt to mend the grievances of his family before he passes. The king underestimates the ambition of those around him, and he leaves the world with naive hope and a shuddering breath.
