The Argo II landed in a small town in Bosnia. The heroes and Nico decided to take this as an opportunity to take a break and explore the city.
“Alright listen up, cupcakes” Coach Hedge said, his bat over his shoulder. “Everyone is to be back here by five pm and no picking fights without inviting me!”
Annabeth sighed and stepped on front of the group. “What Coach Hedge meant to say was, don’t get into any trouble and if you do, call for backup. We are not losing anyone today. Be back by five, and everyone can go their separate ways” Annabeth announced.
They all split up into the groups that they were going with. Hazel, Annabeth and Piper said that they were going together on a girls trip. “Ooh, girls trip, if you go to a bakery can you pretty, pretty please, get me a cookie” Percy said, his tone slightly sarcastic at his “pretty, pretty please”.
Annabeth rolled her eyes fondly, “of course seaweed brain” Annabeth said, with a slightly teasing smile. Percy smiled at her and kissed her cheek “thank you, my most beautiful and beloved girlfriend, the best one in the whole wide world” Percy said. “No need to suck up to me Seaweed Brain, I already said yes” Annabeth said, with a blush on her cheeks.
Piper looked at them with envy in her eyes, she should have what they have, Piper thought bitterly. After her Leo’s and Jason’s quest, she a hundred percent thought that Jason would ask her out, she was a daughter of Aphrodite and wasn’t like the other girls who wore makeup and were fake. But to her, and most of the camps, utmost surprise, Jason asked Leo out and Leo said yes.
She remembered the scene as clear as day, the campfire roaring in the background as Jason came up to Leo in the middle of the sing along, where the Apollo kids were singing some sappy romance song, and asked the five words that made Pipers plan for her life completely change. “Will you be my boyfriend?”
She remembered Leo’s utterly shocked and delighted face as he said yes and Jason hugged him tight as the camp cheered. She remembered the feeling of betrayal, that was supposed to be her in Jason’s arms not Leo, she had been betrayed by her best friend. So what if he didn’t know that Piper liked Jason, it was still a betrayal in her book.
So now, her Annabeth and Hazel were going out to make a plan to get Jason back where he belongs, with her. Well, Hazel didn’t know about that and Piper may have lied to Annabeth that Leo actually put Jason under a love spell using Medea’s potions, but never mind that.
The rest of the group announced where they were going, Percy and Frank were going together to sight see, Leo and Jason were going on a date to the aquarium and Coach Hedge was staying there with Nico to guard the ship, an unlikely pairing but one that almost guaranteed absolute disaster or perfection in protecting the ship.
They all separated into there groups and went on their merry way.
Leo and Jason, walked into the aquarium with one goal in mind. Share cooties. They immediately headed to a secluded area, planning to share cooties.
Leo walked hand in hand with Jason happy to be near his boyfriend, they had been together for a few months now, Jason had asked him out after they came back from the mission. Everyone had expected Jason and Piper to get together, but no, Leo and Jason did.
They had their ups and downs but now all that was important was that they were together. Which is why they were planning to find a secluded spot and make out, but their plan turned askew when Leo spotted a sign that said tiger shark. He jumped up in excitement “Jay, we HAVE to go see the tiger shark!” Without letting Jason even answer, Leo began to drag him to where the sign said the tiger shark was.
“Leo, sweetheart, are you sure that you want to go see the tiger shark?” Jason questioned, he was almost sure that his boyfriend had never seen a tiger shark and just made up an image in his head of a shark and tiger hybrid. “Of course I want to see the tiger shark! What is the golden boy scared of a little shark?” Leo said in a slightly mocking tone, with a wide grin plastered on his face.
Jason sighed, knowing full well that Leo wouldn’t be so easily convinced, and Jason wasn’t one to back down when his reputation was challenged. “Fine, we’ll go see the tiger shark, but don’t come complaining to me when it’s not what you expect it to be” Jason said and then let himself be dragged to the tiger shark exhibit.
When they finally got there Leo looked, well, disappointed. He had been expecting a cool shark tiger hybrid but this was just a regular old shark with stripes on it. He tilted his head upwards and made eye contact with Jason, who had a smug look on his face. “Well?” Jason prompted, “you were right” Leo grumbled under his breath, not completely ready to admit defeat. “Care to repeat that love?” Jason asked in a sickly sweet voice, Leo grumbled once more, of course he had to fall for this stupidly sweet yet cocky boy, just his luck.
“You were right, I was expecting something more… pizzaz filled” Leo said not looking at Jason and seeing that smug grin on his face again.
Jason placed a soft kiss on Leo’s forehead, “I’m sorry the trip didn’t want to go the way you wanted, love” Jason said in a soft tone.
Leo looked at him, a bit surprised. “This trip went perfectly well, I got to spend time with my lovely boyfriend” Leo said, winking at Jason. Jason rolled his eyes and smiled fondly at Leo, yeah Leo was right, nothing could go wrong when he was beside Leo.
