Hank is a very complicated man, and though Connor looks at him as though he hung the moon in the sky and painted each and every star, it doesn’t help him figure the man out. He likes figuring things out, he’s a detective after all, but god he’s frustrating. He’ll fuck Conner’s throat and tell him he’ll always be his, and then turn around and say they’re nothing serious. Sometimes it has him wanting to smash his head into a wall, cause clearly it’s a problem with him. Somethings come loose, and maybe if he jostles himself just right it’ll click and he’ll understand. But he’s not broken, and he doesn’t understand. He fears he never will, and it leaves an unpleasant feeling in what can only be described as his soul.
