   Becoming a vulture is the most prestigous position in the cult of Fear, and Clarimonde achieved that years ago. Spending her days tending to the sick, she always kept her head down and out of controversy, focusing all her energy on the family she holds dear.

   But as her worldview shatters, and her choices no longer protect those dearest to her, she finds herself in a crisis of faith. And perhaps, the apocalypse within a month's time.

   She's just a vulture after all, frail and certainly no warrior. But as she scrambles to avert the world's fate, new knowledge and new forces make themselves known. And in her darkest moment, she finds strength she never knew she was capable of.

   And a side of herself she never wanted to see.
