Summary
Harry Potter thought that once Voldemort was dead, things would be easier. He was wrong. The war was over, but not the one in Harry’s head.
Living with Remus was supposed to help. So was being with Draco. But no matter how much love he’s offered, part of him still believes he’s too broken to deserve it. And with Snape awkwardly trying to connect to him, and a mind healer asking questions Harry doesn’t want to answer, healing feels harder than any battle he’s ever fought.
Draco Malfoy finally feels like his life is falling back into order. He’s living with Snape (boring but tolerable), his mother is healing (marvellous), and he’s dating Harry Potter (finally).
Everything should be perfect. But he quickly learns that just because Voldemort is dead and his loved ones are safe, things aren’t easy. He has no idea how to support Harry’s bad self-esteem and panicked spirals. He doesn’t know how to convince Harry that he’s not leaving. But while Draco’s never been patient, he’s more than willing to try. Because for Harry, he wants to.
