George and Alex are soulmates, and they've known that since their early teens. But how much of each other do they really have a claim to? George has someone else's marks on his other wrist, opposite to the ones Alex has given him, and while the marks closest to Alex's heart are George's, the ones on his upper arm? not so much.
This is a spinoff of 'If You Were There Beware'. It's both a prequel and an accompanying fic. You can probably read this without reading iywtb, but it'd be good to read it for context.
