Zahra is her boss, and Vex is her assistant, and there are entire clauses in the employee handbook about fraternization and harassment and power dynamics. She should assert herself, should either report her for abusing her power for even thinking it was alright to come onto Vex in the first place, or should at least try and be in control of these moments when they happen, initiating them herself or wresting the power from Zahra in the act.
But then, how is Vex supposed to care about any of that when Zahra steps into her space, when her back is meeting the cool porcelain of the bay of sinks and those same hands she eyed earlier start reaching for the top button of her shirt, when the gourmand scent of cocoa and cinnamon and sweet citrus overwhelms her senses.
"I think I'll need a faster solution than that, don't you, Vex'ahlia?" Zahra murmurs, her glossy red nails and the soft skin of her finger pads grazing Vex's heated neck before beginning to undo her blouse from the top.
