   Summary

   Their eyes met, Lynn’s gaze glossy and twinkling with something that seemed like fear. To Amanda, her expression seemed inhuman, almost as if she viewed Lynn as an animal put to the slaughter. However, Amanda knew why she was scared, in fact, she shared the emotion. But she’d never tell her that, not now, and if she didn’t tell her now, then she wouldn’t ever have to tell her.
