When Lloyd woke up he realised some things , first thing he noticed he was lying face down in grass . Second the screams and warnings that came from Arin and Sora telling him to duck some energy blast has vanished and instead had been replaced by the sounds of gentle leaves swaying in the wind , running water possibly from a river nearby , the singing of birds (or screaming?) . Third, his past self grunting in pain after he fell on top of him ……. Past self? Past self!??
Lloyd quickly got up , rubbed his eyes , hoping he was just seeing things and he isn’t looking at his younger self before everything. He rubbed his eyes once , then twice , by the fourth time , the kid who no longer holding his head in pain turned around and is scowling at him (albeit with his face it looked more like a pout) .
“ How dare you fall on Me , I have you know you just fall on top of the next big bad !!!
he started to lift his hands up to do some waving motions . He then paused then look at the strange adult wearing greem who had just appear suddenly falling from the sky and landed partially on top of him.
He blinked and tugged on his hood more.
“ Ugh , you’re one of those ninja , came back to bully me again?? Go away!!!! ”
then quietly
“ I don’t have any candy right now ”
Lloyd stared then got up and kneeled in front of his younger self . Observing the kid more , he knew should choose his words carefully , but he has no idea what words to use here. What are you supposed to say here anyways??? He noticed the kid had bit of a limp on his hand .
“ Look ” he said carefully , pausing to choose his next words , should he revealed the future?
“ We should go to the monastery ”
His young self scowled more at those words
(which made him look even more pouty . No wonder nobody took him seriously) .
“ Why should I listen to you!? You’ll probably leave me dangling on another pole or something , what are you wearing anyways?? You have plant powers or something? Ugh you ninja are so uncool , hmph ”
Lloyd decided to just ripped the bandage off
“ I’m you … from the future …. ” he cringed slightly saying that , the line felt like a cliche from some time travelling movie , but it felt appropriate .
“ I know this sounds insane and you’re the green ninja , I don’t have plant powers ”
Are plants theme elementals even a thing? He looked up (not by much) at the much shorter , scruffier version of himself.
“ You’re me? ” Kid Lloyd squinted , leaning back just slightly . “ You look like a loser ”
He stared suspiciously
“ How are you here? ”
Lloyd wasn’t really sure how to answer that , he was just in a battle and he went to release some dragons from chains . When he all of a sudden heard ‘Whatch out!!’ Then all of a sudden a big blast of light hit him and the last thing he saw ( and heard) was Arin’s and Sora’s faces screaming for him . He hoped they were ok..
“ Uhh , magic stuff . I got hit by a ball of light”
“ You didn’t dodge it? What ‘ninja’ doesn’t dodge stuff?”
Future Lloyd pinched the bridge of his nose. “ let’s just go to the other ninja’s ”
“ No! And I don’t believe you”
“ No? ”
“ You’re lying , I’ll never be a ninja . I’m going to be the greatest evil to ever live . Everyone’ll be sorry they ever called me weak ”
That made Lloyd paused
“ I know , and I’m sorry ”
“ …Wha ”
“ For everything . The loneliness . the bullying . No one listening . The nights you spent hungry , because you thought asking for help made you weak ”
His voice tightened
“ Wanting to be like father…. ”
Kid Lloyd stared at him for a long time , then
“ Prove it ”
“ …What”
“ Prove you’re me . Prove you’re the son of the dark lord”
Lloyd stared at him and then stood up . How is he supposed to prove himself here , what could he do here .
He decided to do something that he’ll regret , definitely .
Backing up ap, once he was in a prefer distance away . His eyes glowed bright purple than a cloud of black glowed purple of the edges of the smoke engulfed him . His form changed to one of a golden body , four arms, long horns and glowing purple eyes.
He look towards his younger self again , who’s mouth now agape staring at him.
“ ….Cool ”
That was not the reaction he’d been expecting.
“ Wait , wait ” Kid Lloyd grinned “ I can changed into whatever this is? You have to teach me! ”
“ I wasn’t trying to impress you ”
“ I knew it ! I wasn’t going to become some goody shoes ninja ”
Lloyd stared in disbelief somehow showing on his face
“ No no no , listen” the younger one whispered , eyes gleaming with chaos .
“ This means I do become an evil warlord . That’s why you’re here ,right? You went to the past to help me follow my evil destiny!! And were going to the Ninja to destroy them!! Forget the Fangpyre , well destroy the ninja with your dark powers ”
“ No— ” and before he could react“ Take me Dark Creature Me” The young one then launched himself into the older one’s arms .
Lloyd managed to catch him with one pair of his arms.
With a loud sigh and one arms holding his younger self up like a cat holding an unruly kitten , Oni-Lloyd trudge toward the monastery .
….
The image vanished , leaving only the remnants of smoke and ashe’s . Sensei Wu just stared , he had no idea what he just saw . He got a bad feeling earlier and decided to meditate , he light up some incense and all he saw in the smoke was his nephew being carried by an Oni had never seen or heard of before .
He quickly got up and reached for his staff. He went outside and the wind hits his face as the bounty soar through the skies.
He needs to find them….
