Work Text:
1
Two Time is your other. Your soon-to-be lover. Purgatory is hellish, but Two Time made it better. You're sure they feel the same about you. Becoming partners was only the natural next step in the little situationship, as you called it, that you had with them.
2
When did you initially catch feelings? When did you first realize that you loved them? Was it from that time where you rushed in to body-block a gashing wound, or was it after they had died saving you plenty of rounds ago? You didn't know, but what you did know was that their death last round was your fault.
3
Cleaning your box cutter of fresh blood clumsily with a wet rag, your hands shook out of pure ecstasy and pain. Two Time ran straight into a walkspeed override, saving you from getting burned, but dying in the process. You should've payed better attention. You should've stayed unpredictable. You should've moved out of the way. But you didn't. To make matters worse, they also died in vain, as while you stood there in shock, c00lkidd quickly grabbed you by your throat and broke your neck.
4
This was your punishment. The scars this session will leave are going to be proof of your repentance. You deserve this pain. You deserve this searing, burning pain. As you maniacally grinned while staring at the dripping blood pouring down your arm, you started to feel a bit light headed. Sighing disinterestedly, you put down your cleaned box cutter and reached for the roll of bandages. Shit. You forgot to get bandages from the middle kitchen cabinet.
5
You were all over the place recently. First you let the killer kill Two Time, then you die when you could've ran, and now you forgot to discreetly take the bandages from the kitchen? You began questioning how you functioned back then, but then suddenly snap back to the present. How are you going to get the bandages without anyone noticing that you cut yourself again? They all freaked out last time Elliot caught you bleeding out on the newspaper covered bathroom floor, and you wanted to avoid going through that embarrassing situation again.
6
Reluctantly, you reached for the toilet paper roll and tried to completely soak up the bloody mess that you made your arm. It was to no avail, of course, since you had a habit of cutting particularly deep into your arm. The blood would not cease to drip and the stings of accidentally pushing the toilet paper into the cuts made you yelp. Once you found that the bleeding slowed, you put on your thin jacket and made your way outside of your cabin.
7
It was convenient that all of the survivors had separate cabins with a bedroom and bathroom. Your footsteps light against the grass, your thoughts began to drift off. You don't think you'd be able to truly indulge in your unhealthy coping mechanisms without separate living quarters.
8
As you reached the main cabin, lodge, or whatever it's called, you realized that your future lover was grabbing something from the middle kitchen cabinet. Upon seeing the only roll of bandages in Two Time's hand, you tensed up, not knowing what to do. They didn't bug you as much about your self-harm like the others, but they also seemed strongly opposed to it. You shuddered upon imagining their disapproving stare.
9
Two Time paused in their tracks as their eyes locked onto you, their manic expression not faltering one bit. They opened their mouth to speak before forcing it shut with a grin. Something wet stained your jacket sleeves. It was your blood that seeped through the thin fabric, making it obvious what you had done to yourself earlier.
10
Clearing your throat with a cough, you awkwardly shifted the weight of your body from left to right repeatedly. You kept your arms to your side, making them stiff as to not let the open wounds rub against your sleeves. "Two Time," you called out, voice soft as their name rolled off your tongue like the thousands of times before, "why are you grabbing bandages? Are you hurt?" Two Time continued staring at you, but more specifically, at your forearms.
11
"I am not," Two Time tilted their head slowly as they replied. "but you are hurt." They tucked the bandages under their armpit before they walked up to you. When Two Time stood beside you, they spoke again. "Follow me. I'll help you patch up." You noticed that their tail flick back and forth like a cat's as they walked ahead of you. You decide to keep that in mind for your fantasies about them next time.
12
Two Time stopped in front of their door and creaked it open. Stepping inside and moving to the right, Two Time made room for you to invite yourself in. Once the two of you were inside, Two Time locked the door, ensuring no one could walk in or out. They led you to their bathroom, a messy yet pristine sight.
13
As Two Time sat down on a fluffy grey rug, they patted the space beside them to signal for you to sit down. You complied quickly, dropping to your knees and leant your back against the cabinet below the sink. Two Time rolled up your sleeves before unrolling a long strip from the bandages.
14
"The Spawn would not favor you for causing harm to yourself," Two Time remarked, their voice steady and firm as they wrapped the bandages around your wounds, "Your body was crafted by the Spawn. To harm it without permission is to insult the kindness he has gifted you." You listened quietly, nodding gently in shame as Two Time spoke.
15
Eyes wincing before darting to the floor, the bandages sent stings of pain as they stuck to your wounds. "You should ask for forgiveness. The Spawn is kind, I know it firsthand, so I am sure he will accept your apology." Two Time wrapped the bandages tightly as they spoke, not minding the pain it gave you.
16
You meekly stared at Two Time, taking in every detail of their appearance. "I don't believe in the Spawn..?" They locked into your eyes, giving you a slightly annoyed look. Two Time suddenly jerked the bandages tighter, making you stifle a yelp of pain. "Why did you do that..?" You quietly asked, voice airy.
17
Two Time tilted their head in faux curiosity, their forced grin becoming a playful smile. "Hmm? Oh, I am sorry for hurting you. It was...an accident." they said, their voice lulling you to a more placid mood. "Hey, tell me, you won't hurt yourself again, right?" Two Time gave you an encouraging look as they continued clumsily bandaging the bloody mess you made your arms. You chose not to reply.
18
Their breathing was all you could focus on. Those sharp exhales that followed slow inhales calmed you like a lullaby. You realized, at this moment, you were a fucking weirdo creep who shouldn't be around society. The Spectre was doing Robloxia a favor by trapping you in this endless hell. You continued staring deeply at Two Time, intaking how their hair was always greasy with oil...how their skin was so tight against their bones...how they had self-harm wounds all over, some fresh while others were faded... Wait what?
19
Damn, damn, damn, damn, damnit!!! Why hadn't you noticed it before? The way they so carefully tried to hide the underside of their arms was so so obvious! Were you really that much of a gooner(EXTREMELY DERAGATORY) to the point you didn't even notice such an apparent thing? You were disappointed with yourself. Really bloody disappointed. You were going to be a horrible lover for Two Time if you couldn't even see their hurt!!!
20
Two Time must've noticed how fucking distraught you were about them slitting their wrists open because they stared at you with an expression I can only describe as an untrained Mizu5 Mizuki card (Project Sekai reference??? Ahahahahahaha I am SO good at pjsk trust!!!). "...do not mind my wounds." Two Time spoke without much vigor in their voice as they awaited your response. You bit your lip roughly, hard enough to draw blood had you not stopped. "You should focus on patching yourself up first. You don't need to worry about me, Two Time."
21
They gave you a knowing look before returning to tending to your wounds. It seemed like Two Time didn't wish to heed your words, as they did not in fact decide to patch themselves up first. You sighed quietly as you watched them finish bandaging the deep fucking cuts you slit into yourself.
22
Two Time began bandaging up their own wounds, albeit very messily. It was at this moment that you realized they were horrible at tending to wounds as their bandaging work was like that of a 6 year old's. You checked your bandaged arm, and it struck you. You were so locked onto Two Time that you missed the fact that the bandages were so wrongly wrapped around you. It was quite loose and they had used far more of the bandages than needed. You began wondering how Two Time's bandages were usually so neat when they didn't have a clue how to wrap bandages.
23
"You're really bad at bandaging up," you said, your tone cutting sharper than it should've, "how were your bandages usually so neat when you're this horrible at it?" Two Time bit their lip out of frustration, and yet, their smile still hadn't faltered. They let out an exasperated sigh, causing you to choke on your hasty breathing. "I usually bandage myself neater without any prying eyes." Ah. That was it. They were nervous around you. You rolled your eyes playfully, feeling slightly proud that you made Two Time feel something.
24
The two of you sat in silence for a while, the only sound being your breathing and their struggling attempts at aiding themself. You lied down, body resting on the soft carpet that began to smell of dried blood. Covering your nose to stop the smell from overwhelming your senses, your hand shot up to your face. Tired and light-headed, you closed your eyes sharply, only to be met with your blood-stained newspaper covered bathroom floor when you opened them again. Right. What the hell were you thinking?
25
Two Time's not real. They were only a character you yumeshipped with. As you continued bleeding out while laying on the uncomfortable floor, you began internally cursing yourself out for being so delusional. Were you really so desperate for care and affection that you began seeing your precious fictional other as the one who bandaged yourself up? Wow, you're really lonely. Also really rude for making it seem like Two Time was horrible at bandaging up shit when it was you who had the major skill issue. You kept bleeding, your horrible attempts at patching up wounds doing nothing to stop your slow descent into your own demise. Maybe next time you slit your fucking wrists, you should focus less on manifesting your f/o and more on fixing the bloody mess you made yourself. There probably won't be a next time, though, as you feel really light-headed. And you're probably gonna die now. You tried fixing your clumsy attempt at bandaging your wounds, but your hands were so shaky and weak that you couldn't grasp the bandage properly. You didn't want to die. You didn't want to die. You didn't want to die at all! And yet, your stupidity led to this. If only you sliced lighter, if only you focused on bandaging, if only you----! Your train of thought was cut off as you passed out, only to never wake again.
the end.
