Chapter Text
Ellie stood in front of a large grey building, noticing its bricks chipping at the corners, how there were fragments of old posters that littered the other boring wall. The building had the words "ORANGE LOTUS DOJO" in big black letters, which to her was to colorful of a name for such a boring place, she started thinking of more accurate names such as " BIG BORING DOJO" and " DARK GLOOMY DOJO" and..
"Ellie hello did you even hear me" Marline had her ever present frown on her forehead and was angry staring at ellie with a frustrated tone
Rolling her eyes and turning her attention back to the buildings front door that had an 'open' sign in red "No"
Letting out a loud sigh before opening her mouth again "well I said that when we get in there please let me do the talking im sure its mostly men in there, men who would not like to be talked down by a 14 year old girl"
stifling a giggle at the last part of that sentence ellie begrudgingly agrees with a short nod of her head
As the pear enter the hallway ellie note all the doors they past, glaring at anyone who made eye contact, until they found a front desk
"Hello its so nice to see a new face, we don't get many kids signing up around here"stated the older guy at the front desk his name tag read 'frank" in cursive letters, his face was kind even with the wrinkles and glasses that had fallen to his nose, he was smiling but a nice smile not the type she would get the she walked past a group of builders on the street that was normally followed up with a few whistles, no his smile was real like he actually wanted her there, it felt strange with his gaze falling to her as marline filled out her paperwork, she was suddenly self conscious about her clothing, she normally wouldn't care what a man thought of her outfit but his gaze wasn't filled with the thoughts of what lay underneath her clothes just her clothes, she could tell by the way his eyes soften a little as he looked her over, probably noticing the holes in her jeans, the stains and cuts that had made their way onto her shirt she owned including this one, probably noticing how thin her jersey was way to thin and he defeinly noticed the slice along her eyebrow that was just above a black eye that would make blackberries jealous. She could tell he saw that black eye because he stared at it a little too long, his gaze only drew back to marlene when she clattered down the clipboard.
"Ok should we go meet"her sentence was interrupted with the loud ring of her phone she immediately pulled it from her ass pocket of her jeans"i'm really sorry can i take this"she said it like a question but didn't wait for an answer as she walked towards the door already talking with who ever was calling her
An uneasy silence washed on them as they stared at each other, ellie thought back to her conversation with marlene, the way she had acted like ellie liked being mean, she didn't but she learnt bark first and don't get bite, being loud to scare people seemed like the best option but know here she was trying to figure out a way to start a conversation with this random guy now with a paranoid that she was gonna sounds bitchy no matter what
"so what's your'e name sweetheart" This gu-frank, frank was his name ellie reminded herself, franks tone was cheerful and his eyes remained fixated on hers waiting for a response
Ellie stood there for a second trying to think of a answer, she couldn't lie she would being seeing this man a lot if she had to come here more than once, and he was about to look at the paperwork that had her whole life story on it,which of course included her name
Finally after an uncomfortable amount of time she cleared her throat "Ellie"
the ma-frank blinked, the smile still plastered on his face but he didn't speak almost like he was waiting for more, which he wasn't gonna get
then "well the miss ellie its so lovely to meet you im frank if you didn't already read my name tag, me and my husband Bill run this place but he's not so good with people so he works in the back,by the looks of this form i will be seeing you around here quite often''
She nodded slowly, There was a lot to process in those words like how he had said 'miss ellie' no one has ever called her 'miss ellie' before and she not sure how to feel about it but worry about that later its not a threat, but the biggest piece of information is how he said 'my husband bill' and the way he had said it so causally it hadn't caught her attention immediately, and its not that shes homophobic its kinda the opposite, she was what some might call 'a raging lesbo' not that she would ever admit that out loud, and she's doesn't think she deserves the title, she smiles to her self thoughts of calling riley ehr wife and getting married it makes her almost smile until she is pulled from her daydream to a nightmare, her life, a life where riley it dead, a life where she is alive and anyone she loves isn't
the next thing she has to think about is what does he mean he'll be seeing a lot of her, jesus how many days is she gonna be here, its the last week of the holidays, is shs still gonna do this when school starts up? where will she go to school?
her thoughts continued to sprilled until marlene came bursting thorugh the door speed walking down the hallway
''Heyy i'm really sorry about that you know lots of kids, lots of problems"she chuckled at the end ''Everything good here"
Ellie wasn't sure if she was referring to the paperwork or her but it didn't seem to matter frank just nodded and grined a little
she slightly thanked him in her mind, she couldn't take getting yelled at by marlene again today
all of a sudden the door from behind the desk came open with either a lot of force or a very strong person
"hey frank why d'hell does it say i have a 14 year old girl for training today you know i don't train girls"
he looked up and his eyes went wide "oh um howdy i didn't see y'all there''
was this greying dinosaur gonna train her ?
also what did he mean he doesnt train girls clearly he does, well he does now
also why does he talk all weird who the hell says 'howdy' and 'y'all'
she looked him up and down the fear only now setting in
she would be alone in a room with this man for an unknown amount of time
he was at least 5,10 to 5,11 and 180-200 pounds
He could easily pin her down, he could easily hit her so hard she would never wake up, he could easily lift her, crush her, hurt her
the feeling of being helpless retuned when she relised how much danger she could be in and could do nothing, marlene would say she's paranoid and he's clearly friends with this nice frank guy
so in im simplest form she fucked
