   Summary

   He wakes up in bed and everything is as it was the day before, but this time he sits up in a panic, gasping for air. He can still feel the ghost of the impact, the crunch of his bones breaking as the car slammed into him. After a few moments, the sensation fades. He’s stuck in a nightmare. He has to be. Pinching himself hard, he slaps himself a few times, but it feels too real to be a dream. Running downstairs, he finds Eikichi as tiny and adorable as she was ages ago. He collapses to the floor, clutching the mewling kitten to him.

   “This is really happening.” He mutters in a daze. “I’ve really gone back in time.”
