Okay I have to share this bc it lives in my head rent free. My friend was on that set. One of WWX’s co-stars (that annoying one, the one who’s always humblebragging. If you know, you know) had their rich boyfriend show up with a BBQ setup, expensive wine, umbrellas, the works. Total show-off.
Next day, WWX’s boyfriend shows up. No BBQ. No wine. But he’s this tall, quiet, ridiculously attractive man in black. Brings a fucking portable satellite internet rig (like the kind you use in mountain expeditions) and sets it up in under fifteen minutes.
THEY WERE IN THE DESERT. NO ONE HAD SIGNAL. They were using walkies. Suddenly everyone’s phones buzzed. High speed, stable, full bars. People screamed.
When someone asked why he did that, he just said, “He called last night. The signal was poor. It was difficult to hear him.” 😭
Anyway. No shade to the BBQ boyfriend. But WiFi wins.

“Lan Zhan doesn’t like spicy food.”
