"Peter screamed.
He dropped to his knees all at the same time. He couldn’t believe it. There she was lying on the floor with a bullet lodged in her skull. Her soft curls sprawling out against the floor, the blood staining the formerly comforting brown. Her lips were slightly separated and her eyes were bloodshot staring un-humanly at the ceiling. Peter couldn’t do anything, he struggled against the men but they wouldn’t let go. He just wanted to rush to his mom. For her to hold him in her arms. But that would never happen again and Peter just sat there hollow. Staring at the lifeless body of the one person that he’d ever loved. He had no one left. He was alone.
Peter stopped fighting as the men dragged him out. They threw him in some sack. Peter didn’t fight. He didn’t think he could if he wanted to. He had already lost. She was already gone so what was the point?
He didn’t know where they were taking him. He didn’t care. He couldn’t take his mind off her lifeless body."
