Work Text:
“Your yeoman commed me,” Phil says.
Chris looks up from the carrots on his cutting board. “Joshua talked to you? Why?”
“He told me your wheelchair controls were malfunctioning,” Phil explains. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Chris frowns. “Because they’re not.” He sets down his knife and reaches for his PADD, pausing the music playing from the speakers. “My chair’s fine. I don’t know why Joshua…oh.”
Phil raises an eyebrow at Chris as he takes a seat at the kitchen counter. “Oh?”
“It was for a good cause, alright? Marcus had been talking at us for probably two hours straight, and it was past lunch,” Chris explains. “So I just moved my chair forward a bit to hit my desk and spill my cup of water. We had to stop to clean it up, and then Marcus forgot what he was talking about and let us go. Problem solved.”
“Clever.” Chris smiles. “So you promise your chair’s fine? It was just a long meeting?”
“I…may have also run over Komack’s foot in the hallway,” Chris admits. “But he deserved it, I swear!”
Phil chuckles and shakes his head. “You’re a menace.”
Chris grins. “That’s why you love me.”
