Izuku bolted upright, chest heaving, hands shaking. He scanned the dark room with wild eyes.
Too quiet. Too still. Something was coming. Something was coming it was coming itwascomingitwascoming. It would be here and then - what? He was weak, he was injured, he was -
“Izuku,” a gruff voice said. Kacchan rose beside him, sliding an arm over his waist. “It's okay. Everyone is okay. We're home.”
Gradually, Izuku stopped shaking. He laced his fingers with Kacchan's.
“Sorry,” he rasped.
“You're fine.” Kacchan said, drawing him back down and kissing his temple. “We're safe, Izuku. I've got you. I've got you.”
