See, they had this dynamic between the two of them. They were an inseparable duo of sometimes-romantic and sometimes-unhealthily-toxic tension; a kind of ‘will they, won’t they’ situation.
They were almost terrible for each other.
They loved it, that inherent obsession with one another that subconsciously encouraged them to seek out the other no matter the circumstance. That abrasiveness John saved for Smiity. That meekness Smiity saved for John.
