Reo blinked slowly. The cup still hung loosely in his hand, lukewarm tea swirling quietly inside.
A strange warmth crawled through his limbs—pleasant at first, then heavy, like wet cloth draped over his bones.
His heartbeat echoed louder in his ears.
The apartment tilted.

“What… what is this?” he murmured, voice thick and distant, as if spoken through water.
The cup fell.
