Chapter Text
Even After The End
Prologue
There were love stories that began with fireworks—with stolen glances, racing heartbeats, and grand confessions beneath summer skies.
But theirs wasn’t one of them.
Theirs was a love that had unraveled slowly.
A love that broke quietly,
like paper left out in the rain— its edges curling in silence, its words too faded to fight for.
Years had passed.
Their names were no longer spoken aloud.
Hands once held had been buried deep in coat pockets.
The world had kept moving.
They had pretended to.
And yet—
Sometimes,life circled back.
Not to undo the past,
but to offer something gentler.
A medium apartment.
A child with too many questions.
An ex-lover standing at the door, older now, still wearing sorrow like a second skin.
It hadn’t been their first beginning.
But maybe—
if they were careful,
and kind,
and just a little brave—
it could be their last.
