Chapter Text
Tom Hanks was tired of movies with human costars. He felt like his creativity had been stifled and he wanted to express himself through puppetry.
That’s how he met Kermit.
He was just a green guy who needed someone to work the sticks of his limbs and help him avoid Ms Piggy. He was down on his luck and living in a van down by the river when Tom wandered along the nature path, looking for inspiration in the floating leaves.
It was nice, really, as they reminisced on their old situationships and villainous alter egos that nearly made them do horrible things (such as become a Yankees fan).
But, as the weeks went by, the camaraderie took a deeper turn. A more… romantic feeling swept through air as the two met.
“Kermit,” said Tom Hanks, “I’ve known you only for a short period of time, but from what I’ve seen on both the big screen and these little moments together, I know you’re a good frog.”
“Ae shucks Hank, you really know how to make a frog smile.”
Out of the blue, Tom’s eyes went white, and when he finally regained his sight he saw his dear friend BUT HUMAN!
“Kermit…” Tom was breathless. “Is that you?”
“Umm, I dont know Tom. I’m not feeling very green right now.” He staggered. “I’m not used to walking with out the sticks. How do humans do this?”
Tom jumped forward and helped steady the frog… man? he had come to care about so much. “It’s okay. We can get you a personal trainer to help you balance. Maybe some hot yoga.”
“Hot Yoga, Tom?” Kermit laughed and leaned against him. “I’m not that kind of frog my friend. You at least have to take me to dinner first.”
Tom helped him sit down and smiled. “Did I ever tell you about the time I was best friends with a volleyball? It was a dark time in my life.”
“Can we watch the movie?”
Tom turned away. He didnt tbink he could handle those emotions today. “Can we do that later, right now let’s just watch crappy youtube videos and makeout.”
“Okie Dokie.”
