“You did,” she cuts her off, leveling her with a look. Grace can’t tell if Steph is correcting her or telling her. “It’s fine, Grace.”
But it doesn’t feel fine. It doesn’t feel fine at all. Moments ago it felt like the only move she could have made at the moment. It seemed perfect, right. And then seconds later it swings right back into deeply wrong.
