Summary
THERE IS A CERTAIN MAGIC in this world, a presence living alongside the sciences and rational thought, but never being encompassed by them. An eternal human problem, subject to much stigma within the world itself—and it is only ever mentioned in hushed words behind closed doors.
It has long been suspected, but hardly ever spoken of, that everyone holds a level of innate magic. For most, it simmers in disuse, never manifesting itself strongly enough to be noticed. But there are a few born now and then who are cursed to harness it—the witches—and the witches are creatures of perpetual misery. They have already reached damnation, in a sense—in that they have been forever forsaken by the rest of the world.
OR: The cast of Forsaken are witches, in a world where witches are condemned to persecution and death. Several storylines starring multiple characters are followed, (and the author doesn't know how a plot is supposed to work.)
