Chapter Text
Mizi blinked.
She exhaled, a breath heavy with quiet devastation, as she watched Sua calmly ready herself to die. Deep down, she had always known this day would come. And yet, she played dumb. Pretended she didn't see it, because seeing it meant accepting it.
And what difference could she make?
None.
"Everything happens for a reason." What a cruel, empty phrase. There's no way she could swallow the fate handed to her like poison in a silver cup. And if God exists, then where was He when it mattered?
She doesn't know. She'll never know.
Because it's humans. it's always humans, who cause the deepest wounds. Who ruin each other without mercy. Again. And again. And again.
Always them.
She can never return. Not to those soft, sweet fragments of time she once shared with Sua. Those brief, delicate moments where she sang with fake joy and feigned ignorance like a coward. That version of her is gone.
She can't pretend anymore.
The truth is a beast now, snarling and naked in the daylight for all to see. Her smiles, once a shield, are worthless. Can she even smile now? After seeing Sua's final expression, so calm, so full of love, like she wasn't about to disappear?
That was it.
Something inside her snapped.
She did what she had to do, cradling the laptop like it was all she had left. Was it the right decision? She doesn't know. Maybe. Maybe not.
She aches to ask Sua. To fall into her arms and ask if this path is right. But she couldn't.
Not couldn't. She can't.
Because Sua is dead.
And with her, the light vanished too.
But perhaps... not all of it. Because then, through the suffocating silence, she heard it. A rhythm. A sound. Till.
Hope flared for one final time.
She ran. Desperate. Toward the only soul left that might still save her. Her eyes grew heavier with each step, her vision starting to swim.
What...?
The world began to distort, warping beneath her like a nightmare as she forced herself forward. But her legs buckled. Her balance gave way. And she collapsed— face-first into the cold, uncaring ground.
No...
Till is going to die...
She crawled, clawing at the dirt with trembling hands. But she knew, deep in her chest, there was nothing she could do now. Not like this.
Everything dimmed. Her body failed. The world faded to black-
And her eyes closed for the last time.
