Hyunsu knows that they would kill him if they find the chance. He also knows they will fail if it comes to that. The monster inside him has told him about the moment he is in danger, he wont ask any more questions before acting.
Its ridiculous, to trust a demon with your same face. But on the other hand, hyunsu is sure that if he dies, they die together, and the beast is more scared of death than he ever was.
The rest of the survivors observe, beyond the fear and the pity, there is little care for him. In a way it reminds him of his family. The way they treat him as an unfortunate part of their lives, wishing to get rid of him but unable to reject his presence. Forcing themselves to endure. Forcing him to endure.
If he had more pride and honestly, if he wasn't such a fucked up person. He would have run away a while ago. But this humiliation, while painful, feels familiar and somewhat safe.
In this fucked up reality of monsters and death, he reminds a necessary evil. They need him, he is wanted, he is allowed to be here. He.. . Just wants to be part of something.
He keeps his eyes almost closed. By the door of his enclosure he sees EunHyeok, his expression icy as ever. But the glint in his eyes is unfamiliar. His lips move but from his angle he cannot even read his lips. EunHyeok leaves again, eyes glittering with tears, or maybe the reflection of the moon. Hyunsu doesn't want to go.
3 days later he hears it for the first time, and hyunsu understand what EunHyeok was whispering.
"Im sorry please survive"
Hyunsu cries in the darkness of his cell.
