Summary
Thanos was dead, and Nam-gyu wasn't sure to be angry or sad. Of course, he wouldn't have much to be sad over, Thanos was the most insufferable man he ever met. He hated Thanos since the day they met, he hated how he spoke and behaved. He hated each detail he took too much notice of. Despite this, there was still a burning feeling in his chest he couldn't get rid of even after taking more than one pill. It was easy letting himself fall into a routine while Thanos was still alive, wake up, talk to him, ask for a pill, and talk more before they stayed together during the games. Lock and key. It was autopilot. Nam-gyu told himself this twisted feeling was because he wasn't used to waking up alone and not because he couldn't bear the fact Thanos was dead and that he wasn't coming back.
And in other words, Nam-gyu really does miss Thanos and cared a lot about him but it's easier to convince himself otherwise than to face the fact he lost someone he loved.
