streamin

Summary:

Jimin wants to be a streamer, but his only issue is that he gets bad migraines and motion sickness playing—so Yoongi, who is a streamer himself, plays with him to take care of him. They stream together, sometimes just beside each other.

Chapter Text

“Guys, I wanna be a streamer,” Jimin announces.

He’s on a late-night Discord call with his friends, idly watching two of them play Rainbow Six Siege—Jimin isn’t too interested, though he must admit that they look cool sniping enemies left and right.

His announcement can only be heard by the four others, as Jungkook and Yoongi are currently live streaming and have their call muted. The only sounds he can hear are the gunshots and other sound effects.

“That’s interesting, what do you wanna do?” Namjoon’s profile blinks green with his voice. His facecam is a little laggy, his background showing that he’s at a café—probably studying, judging by the papers and books that come in and out of frame.

“Like, play games.”

Taehyung’s camera and microphone turn on, and his frame shows his face up close, hair wet and dripping onto the shaky camera. He just got out of the shower. “I fully support this! But what about your eyes?”

Seokjin, who is in the kitchen cooking, turns on his microphone and looks at the camera in concern. “We all know that your eyes aren't to be messed with. You legit passed out one time—imagine that happening in front of the camera.” There is no humor in his voice, just a warning.

Jimin truly, really, very much wants to play games. He does. But whenever he plays these games, specifically the 3D ones, he just gets— sick. It starts with the back of his eyes feeling like being poked by needles, then a migraine would eventually come, and then his head would start spinning. Whenever he pushes himself until things get worse, he either vomits, or passes out. Or both.

It’s a curse, really, especially when he genuinely loves playing games.

“It's not that I’m discouraging you,” His hyung continues, “You can stream, but what if you hurt yourself if you play games? Maybe let’s think of another content?”

“But it’s what Jimin wants!” Taehyung comes to his defense, and he smiles at his best friend’s sentiment.

Hoseok, who was actively watching the gameplay on one of the two’s channels, turns on his microphone, piping in, “I think hyung is right, but I also think Taehyung is right, too. We are worried for you, Jimin, but we also want to support your hobbies.”

“Maybe we can find a way to make it happen?” Namjoon now has his full attention to their conversation.

“How? We’ve tried giving him motion-sickness pills—didn't work,” Seokjin sighs.

“And Jungkook changed some settings on his PC and the games, but it also didn't work.” Hoseok pouts.

The listing of their attempts and the reminders of his unfortunate events has Jimin whining. He looks at the camera, eyes crazed and desperate, and grips the edges of his laptop.

“There has to be a way. Please, help me, I’m desperate. I really, really want to play.”

“Play what?”

A shudder goes down Jimin’s spine when that deep, raspy, nonchalant voice comes through his headphones—feeding his eardrums with that pleasant sound, as if the man had directly said it to his ear.

Yoongi.

Goosebumps rise on his skin just thinking about that name.

“Um—nothing, hyung.”

“Jimin, don’t be shy now!” Taehyung cries into the call. “Yoongi-hyung, Jimin wants to stream gameplays, but we all know of his eye problem—or whatever it’s called.”

Jimin whines in embarrassment, covering his eyes with his hands. Why, why, whyyy did he have to say it while Yoongi’s on the call? Why? Just why?

“You can do it if you want to, Jimin. But someone has to be there to monitor how you’re doing—we can’t have you passing out in the middle of the stream, hm?” Yoongi chuckles heartily.

With a slam of his hand, he turns off his camera and microphone before he throws his headphones off and falls back into the bed, his mouth letting out a sound that’s a mixture of laughter and squealing. He hugs himself as another wave of shivers and goosebumps rise.

Is it evident that he has a big fat crush on his friend?

Letting out a deep breath, he quickly collects himself before he sits back up and puts on the headphones again.

“—I didn't mean to offend him—look, Jimin, if you’re hearing this, I’m sorry if I offended you.”

Jimin tilts his head curiously. Why does Yoongi think he— oh. They must have thought he was offended because of how he suddenly disappeared. Oops.

He clicks the microphone, foregoing the camera. “No, you didn't offend me, hyung. I just… had to quickly do something.” Taehyung snorts, and a private message from him pops up shortly after.

“Oh, alright.” From his profile, he sees Yoongi running a hand down his face. “You guys stressed me out for nothing,” he grumbles.

The others just laugh and mutter halfhearted apologies.

“Anyway, if Jimin-hyung is going to stream, who will monitor him?” Jungkook asks.

Both Yoongi and Jungkook seem to be done playing, Jimin belatedly realizes. And checking the time, he sees that the two have been playing for three hours, finishing the stream well past 1 AM.

“Does it have to be in person? Because I’d willingly do it virtually,” Taehyung enthusiastically says.

“Of course it has to be in person! How are you going to virtually catch him when he faints?” Seokjin scoffs, throwing his hands in the air.

“Spamming ‘catch’ emojis in the chat?”

Another round of laughter bursts through the call, and Jimin hears Seokjin complaining loudly over their voices. He glances down at Yoongi’s frame and feels his heart stutter at the bright gummy smile on the man’s face. Ugh, Jimin wants him so much.

“In all seriousness, it's going to be tricky. We all live a train ride or a few bus rides away from each other.” Namjoon pulls up his hand and starts a list. “I’m in Gwanak district, Taehyung’s in Daegu, Jungkook’s in Busan, and Seokjin-hyung and Hobi are in Mapo district.”

“You and Yoongi-hyung are the only people who live a few minutes away from each other,” Hoseok casually says, as if the information that Jimin would giddily remind himself every few hours into his day was no big deal.

Another message from Taehyung pings.

“That is so convenient!”

Jimin glances at Jungkook’s frame and sees him grinning from ear to ear. He scowls when he notices the others—except Yoongi—catching on and smiling teasingly with the youngest. That menace.

“It’s just perfect!” Seokjin slams his hands on the counter and gives the camera a crazy look.

All of them are crazy. Except Yoongi, of course.

“Yoongi-hyung, you’re the one who suggested it, so why don't you do it?” Hoseok leans into the camera and bats his eyes.

This is it. This is where Jimin will face his first second-hand— no, direct—rejection from Yoongi. Ever. And so, as if bracing for impact, he squeezes his eyes shut and grits his teeth, waiting with bated breath and a churning stomach. This is really it.

“Oh.”

No…

“Well,”

Jimin can’t do this. He hovers his hand over the laptop frame, ready to slam it down when he hears the first syllable of rejection.

“Sure.”

And—

What?!

His eyes snap open and he wildly stares at the screen. He searches for Yoongi’s face, and he presses his nose against the screen to see him closer. His hyung is smiling softly, as if it doesn't bother him that he’ll be accompanying Jimin. As if Jimin isn't a bother. As if he likes the idea.

“Sure, I’ll take care of Jimin.”

Taehyung spams their chat, the ping noises going mute at the pace.

Lord have mercy.

˙✧˖°🎮 ⋆。˚

For someone who slept in the wee hours of the night, Jimin still manages to wake up early. Everything that happened at 1 AM felt like a fever dream, and he doesn't know how to cope. At least he didn't have an embarrassing dream about Yoongi this time.

Yes, this time, because it happened once, and he’d rather not talk about it… Cuddled up on Yoongi’s lap, napping, while he plays those combat games—on stream. Yes, he’d dreamt that. Jimin digresses.

When he wakes up that morning, it was to Taehyung’s unread messages, and he apologetically smiles to himself as he opens the chat. It was a live reaction to everything that had transpired last night, which serves as a proof that nothing was dreamt—that last night was a reality.

let’s not go there yet

i’ll deal with this later. let’s talk about this later…

He finally gets up from the bed and begins his weekend morning routine: eating breakfast while watching gameplays, showering right after, and snuggling back into bed to watch more videos. It's a cozy routine, considering his weekdays are spent between site visiting, meeting clients, or drawing and model making.

It's when a jumpscare comes onto the screen, the streamer screaming loudly in response, that a chat notification pops up. Trying his best not to freak out, he exits the full-screen mode before opening the message from Yoongi.

agustd

Jimin, are you serious about wanting to stream?

ji

yes hyung!

i’ve been thinking about it for days

i watched a lot of streams and i really reallyyy want to do it too

especially when you and jungkook share your screens on the call! you two are cool 🙈

Jimin drops the phone to his chest and takes a deep breath before picking it up again. Only to almost die when he sees Yoongi’s recent message.

agustd

Alright. Are you free tomorrow!

agustd

Jimin

You’ll never be a burden.

Plus, why bother trying to figure it out yourself and waste time, when you have a hyung who already knows everything?

I’m here to take care of you, aren’t I?

Let me make things easier for you, Jimin.

Heart pounding in his chest—Jimin doesn't even try to hide how he’s feeling. He screams, loud, and doesn't bother hiding in the pillow. So his scream is just out in the air, for all of his neighbors to hear, and it’s an ugly scream as well. He rolls around the bed, giggling between dramatic sobbing.

ji

hyungfhdjchdjdj

agustd

agustd

See you later, Jimin

ji

Jimin panics at the emoji he sent and quickly edits the message, not caring if Yoongi’s seen it or not.

ji

you too hyung ☺️(edited)

Since Yoongi didn't specify what time he’s coming over, Jimin immediately set off to clean the apartment, but not after screaming —into his pillow this time— until his voice went hoarse. His morning had been productive indeed.

By the time he’s done, he is sweaty all over again, so he makes another trip to the shower. It’s when he steps out of the bathroom that he hears the code to the front door clicking, signaling Yoongi's arrival. Because, of course, Yoongi knows his passcode.

Despite the way Jimin acts around his hyung like they have this formal older friend and younger friend relationship, they’re actually quite close. Especially when they’re the only two in their circle that live closer to each other. Yoongi being familiar with his apartment should be enough of an indication to that.

Developing feelings surely made him act differently around Yoongi than before, but he wonders how much the other noticed. His hyung is known by their friends to be attentive to everyone’s needs and personalities, so it's highly possible he noticed Jimin’s change in demeanor about six months ago.

They've been friends for five years, yet it's only recently that he realized his feelings for Yoongi. It had been simple, finding out he likes his friend more than he should. They were both eating dinner at this Japanese restaurant, just the two of them. And the whole night, he couldn't help but notice how handsome his hyung looked under the warm lighting, and how charming he was when he laughed.

By then, Jimin became more reserved around Yoongi, scared of his crush being found out. And it’s impossible for his hyung not to notice the abrupt change—right?

With final, cheering words to himself, he lets out a short exhale before walking out of his room. He heads to his home office, where he knows Yoongi went, and sure enough, there his hyung is, sitting on the gaming chair while lazily scrolling through his phone.

“Hey, hyung.”

Yoongi perks up, actually perks up, and he immediately pockets his phone, giving Jimin his full attention. It's one of the many details he notices about his hyung, and it's one of the things that keeps his crush on him going. This man focuses on the people he’s talking to—though Jimin likes to think this only happens for him.

“Jimin, hi.” He’s graced with a beautiful, gummy smile. “I was looking through some equipment online for your setup.”

His eyes widened. “Hyung, I don’t even have an account yet, and you’re already looking up equipment?” Jimin walks over to lean against his desk, and when Yoongi turns the chair to face him, he finds himself situated between the other’s legs.

“Sorry, I’m just excited to help you out.” Yoongi chuckles, ruffling his hair in that cute, nervous habit he has. “None of the other guys have been serious about their interest in streaming.”

“Don’t you help Jungkook out sometimes, though?”

“Ah, no… when Jungkook asks for my help, it’s more for technical repairs, maintenance—all that stuff.” Yoongi shrugs, like doing those works is trivial. “These days, though, he doesn't ask for my help anymore, so I’ve been feeling kinda lonely on that part.” He chuckles.

Jimin grins and cheekily says, “Well, I’m here to make sure you won't feel lonely like that again, hyung.” He's not even thinking as he runs his mouth. “I’ll keep you occupied.”

God, he’s so embarrassing.

Thankfully, Yoongi simply raises an eyebrow—although his teasing smirk sends Jimin into orbit. “Oh, yeah? Gonna keep my hands full, Min-ah?”

His breath hitches, and it takes everything in him—willpower, physical strength, mental strength, whatever inside his nervous system—to not openly scream the way he did earlier.

‘Min’ is a nickname Yoongi uses whenever he is teasing him. Actually, it's only recently that he used it that way because, before, he used it naturally. Now, it’s just plain old ‘Jimin.’

He mourns for those days.

Fortunately, he doesn't overreact. Instead, he keeps his mouth shut as he gives Yoongi a tight-lipped smile, and then he leans over the other, putting his hands on the armrests. He sees his hyung’s adam’s apple bob, glancing at it briefly before meeting his eyes boldly.

Then, with a little force, he pushes the chair away, catching Yoongi off-guard that he releases a small yelp.

“Anyway, where do we begin, hyung?” He asks innocently.

Maybe Jimin’s being delusional, but he noticed that there are times where they tease each other like this—like something could happen between them. This happened just recently as well. How fortunate for his poor heart.

“Right, um, let's talk about what you want first.”

Seeing Yoongi flustered is a different kind of satisfaction—and mortification because holy smokes he just did that.

Jimin sits down on the ottoman to the side of the room and smiles shyly at his hyung. “Honestly, I want it to be a cozy stream—and the very game I want to play is Minecraft,” he chuckles, embarrassed.

“Nothing wrong with that… I can see it—your cozy streams, I mean. Maybe after Minecraft you can explore other games as well.”

He nods. “I do want that. I want to find more chill games.”

“Cool, I’ve seen a few games that you might like. I’ll save those for later.”

His face warms up at Yoongi’s thoughtfulness. “Sure… Thanks, hyung.”

“No problem, Jimin.” He receives a grin. “Now, um, there are also a lot of other things that we need to consider; your schedule, your set up, all that.”

“You stream every weekend, right?”

“Yeah.”

“They're also the only days I’m available,” he pouts.

Yoongi leans his elbows on his knees and gives him an easy smile. “You can stream earlier than me, so that I’ll have time to go home and prepare my own.”

“Wouldn't that be tiring? You’d be basically babysitting me.”

“You're not a bother, Jimin. I like taking care of you.”

What the hell? He looks away and avoids his hyung’s eyes, trying hard not to squirm as he feels jittery at the man’s words. Yoongi is so easy to be giddy over—he says things that make Jimin hope that there could be something and more between them.

“Sure, sure,” He croaks out. “Anyway, um, how will you be doing that, though? Taking care of me, I mean. Wouldn't it be boring to just sit beside me, watch me play and talk to myself, and wait for me to pass out?”

Chuckling, Yoongi leans back and slowly spins the chair as he thinks out loud. “I wouldn't mind just sitting off to the side watching you play—it’d be entertaining enough for me. But if you’re uncomfortable with me in the same room, I could just stay in the living room.”

“Are you sure?”

“Of course!” His hyung slides the chair closer to him. “My job is to help you with technical difficulties and serve you meds and water when you need it,” he pauses, considering his next words. “And end your stream to carry you to bed if you strain yourself until you pass out.”

Jimin ducks his head. “That won’t be necessary,” he mumbles.

It would be mortifying if Yoongi had to resort to carrying him to his bed. Well, it would be very pleasing, sure, but he just can’t! Different ways of how he could be carried crossed his mind: piggyback, bridal style— his heart thumps rapidly at the image of Yoongi carrying him bridal style.

Before he could do or say anything embarrassing, his hyung suddenly snapped his fingers and perked up in his seat. “What if you borrowed my equipment for now?”

“What?! Hyung, no, I can’t do that.”

“Better yet, why not stream at my place?”

What the fu—

“Hyung, you’re going crazy.”

Jimin’s been to his hyung’s apartment for a decent number of times now, and the only room he’s never stepped foot into was his gaming room. It’s not like Yoongi forbade him from going in; he never tried asking to see it because he’d witnessed the others getting turned down enough times to realize that the room is off-limits to everyone. And now, Yoongi’s telling him to ‘just’ stream at his place?

Wait, he’s getting ahead of himself—maybe his hyung meant the living room, or something.

“Look, what if you stream a few times and realize that you don't really enjoy it as much as you expected—so buying equipment would just be a waste.” Yoongi shrugs his shoulders. “It's just for a few times to test the waters.”

“I don't wanna be a burden, hyung…” Jimin looks down at his lap and pouts.

“Jimin, I already told you, you’re not a burden. I wouldn't have offered it if I didn't want to share my space with you.” Yoongi leans in and puts his hands on top of Jimin’s. “I love being able to do things for you, Jimin, and this is one of them. Don't think of this as a favor, or anything else—just accept it as it is.”

He stays silent, but for different reasons now: Yoongi’s holding his hand, and he just said the sweetest words Jimin’s ever heard—and he feels like collapsing from the intense adoration he feels in his heart. What did he do to deserve this kindness from his hyung? God, he wants him so bad.

“Are you sure, though? Aren't your gadgets, like, off-limits?”

There’s a moment of silence where Yoongi seems stunned, as if he hadn't expected that question—or he himself isn't sure. Whatever it is, his thoughts are running, because Jimin notices how his hyung’s neck up to his ears gradually tints a light shade of red.

“Um,” Yoongi clears his throat and retracts his hands, looking away. “Well, it is off-limits, but you’re exempted.”

Jimin resists the urge to curl up, hide, and sob, and instead just nods shakily.

“So, um, stream at my place—I’ll set up your game.” He nods to himself. “And for now, let’s set up your profile.”

For the remaining afternoon, they took their time creating Jimin’s channel. His username and streamer identity had been a little hard to complete because he couldn't think of a cute name to go by. That is, until Yoongi suggested he use the nickname ‘min.’

Initially, Jimin didn't like that—he wanted only his hyung to call him that, but then Yoongi said something about his content being cozy, and his personality being comforting. So he decided that his nickname would still be special to both of them (him) even if others used it.

And so ‘cozymin’ was created.

Next, they had to figure out his profile picture—Jimin declared that he didn't want to use any of his old photos, but he also doesn't have a recent one, so they spent some time doing a mini photoshoot around his apartment. It was embarrassing at first, having to pose for the camera (with Yoongi behind it), but it also didn't take long for him to get comfortable when his hyung started acting silly—just to make him smile more naturally.

In the end, they settled on a picture of him holding a tangerine close to his face.

“What’s with the tangerine?” Yoongi asked with a snort.

“I just love tangerines.” Jimin shrugged.

“I loved tangerines first.”

“And you influenced me, so what?”

“Oh—uh—right, so what?”

And when they finalized his account, they brainstormed over his bio.

“How about, ‘play with me and hyung’.”

Yoongi ruffled his hair, avoiding eye contact. “Why do you have to mention me in it?”

“Your presence has to be acknowledged, hyung. Just giving credit where it’s due!”

“So you’re also gonna credit me for the equipment?”

“Of course!”

Jimin thought he’d never seen Yoongi’s face that red before.

With a click of a button, Jimin’s finally ready to hold his first stream.

˙✧˖°🎮 ⋆。˚

The first word that popped up in Jimin’s mind when he saw Yoongi’s gaming room for the first time was ‘ cool’. Currently, the room is dim—two recessed lights by the desk and the hidden LEDs in the color blue are the only source of light at the moment. The space was minimal, walls black, just how the owner prefers it, but it has that certain Yoongi taste in it that undeniably screams ‘ him’. There are a few collectibles framed and displayed on shelves—even trophies from tournaments.

And is that a YouTube gold play button?

It's fair to say that Jimin is highly impressed—well, even more impressed. He always admired his hyung, but seeing his passion in the flesh sets a different kind of adoration in him. This is where all the magic happens (Yoongi looking hot, bringing down opponents like it was as easy as breathing).

“Are you sure you’re just an IT guy at your company? This looks way too serious to be just some hobby, hyung.”

Yoongi laughs and says, “I am just an IT guy at work. But I’m not just some other streamer online.” And he winks at him. Winks.

Glancing at the golden play button, Jimin doesn't doubt it one bit.

“So, anyway, how do I start?” He plops down on the gaming chair and spins around it, looking around the equipment with wonder. They look like high-grade, expensive gadgets. His hyung surely invested a lot in this.

“Just start the live,” Yoongi says while turning on the computer. “I’ll send the link to the guys—post it on Twitter, too.”

At the mention of posting, Jimin straightens up and looks at his hyung in alert. “Post? No, don’t! Don’t promote me!” He puts his hands together and begs dramatically.

Yoongi looks at him weirdly. “Why? I want to show you support, too, just like you always do.” He pulls away from the desk and begins adjusting the lighting kit.

“It’s embarrassing! Your audience is probably, like, people who prefer your kind of content.”

“It’s not like I’ll be forcing them to watch, Jimin.” Yoongi snorts, but Jimin just whines.

“Please, hyung?” He pulls on his best puppy eyes. “You letting me borrow your stuff is already showing your support.”

With a big sigh, Yoongi nods. “Fine, fine, I won’t promote you, but that doesn’t mean I won’t subscribe to you and like your content.”

“Sure!” He beams at his hyung, then looks down at the monitor.

On the screen is just plain black wallpaper, and the app icons are all organized. The Twitch website is open on the second monitor, Jimin’s profile already set up, and his chest warms at his hyung’s usual thoughtfulness. Discord is also open on the third monitor with their friend group’s server—Seokjin and Jungkook arguing over some game.

He glances at Yoongi and sees him playing around with the LED colors. “Is Yellow okay with you?” His hyung asks.

Jimin slowly nods his head. “Yellow is perfect, hyung.”

Very attentive to detail. He adores him so much.

“There, you’re ready.” Yoongi sits on a stool just a little away from the camera and clicks around the screen—opening the game and setting up the stream.

“Oh! I have one final touch!” Jimin gets up and goes to his bag. He takes out a headrest shaped into a cute chick and hurriedly puts it on the chair. “There! It’ll be like my signature of sorts.” He looks at Yoongi to see what he thinks, and almost preens at the cute smile.

“That’s adorable, Jimin.”

“Thank you.” His successful attempt at acting casual should be rewarded.

Plopping back down on the seat, Jimin puts on the headphones and grins at the microphone that Yoongi adjusts closer to his face. He gives his hyung a thumbs up to signal he’s ready, and then finally, the live begins.

Jimin knows that he won’t get viewers right off the bat (aside from his friends), so he doesn’t worry about any expectations on his first livestream. Glancing at the third monitor, he sees Yoongi sending the link to his video, and almost immediately, the chat is filled with the guys’ accounts—including Yoongi’s.

thvkim_: JIMIIIINNNN!!!!

filledwithhope: YAYYAYAYAY

rkive: Ah finally I’ve been waiting for a week

jjwan: Where’s the midget

thvkim_: we’ve all been waiting for a week hyung

rkive: Can you all stop arguing and let jimin play already

filledwithhope: HERE FOR JIMIN NOT ALL OF YOU

jkjkay: nah the chat needs more chaos. i’ll send in my viewers rq

The room fills with Jimin’s laughter, and when he sees Jungkook’s comment, he rolls the chair back to screech, not letting the sound catch onto the microphone.

“Jungkook, please don’t do that!”

Yoongi leans in and scowls at the camera. “Yah, Jungkook, you better obey Jimin’s words.”

jkjkay: but why??? i want you to have more viewers

thvkim_: best friend get that clout!!! use jk all you want!!

jjwan: Use the midget too

jkjkay: dare i say wasted opportunity lmao

rkive: No but I get Jimin. He wants to grow organically

filledwithhope: Jimin i will promote you on this server i’m in!! They’re all bubbly and funny like me and you so dw!

thvkim_: oooooo!!! me too me too!

rkive: Same, I also have some friends who’d love the casual content. I’m sharing this

“I will allow that.” Yoongi nods approvingly before he pulls away.

With a glance at his hyung and a final thumbs up, Jimin giggles as he settles back in his spot. “Do whatever you guys want—as long as mister ‘agust d’ and mister ‘jkjkay’ won't. Their fame intimidates me.”

His first world is created with the help of his friends. Taehyung sent a shady seed that Jimin copy-pastes for the sake of content, Namjoon helped name the world ‘mini adventures’, Seokjin, Jungkook, and Yoongi argued over the difficulty mode (Jimin ended up choosing Hardcore. He was forced, really), and Hoseok spammed cute mod recommendations.

Despite not having other viewers besides his friends, it doesn't feel like he’s missing out on much at all. The chat is loud and energetic, even without their voices, and it’s enough to complete his day. This is what he wanted when he thought of streaming—and his friends effortlessly pulled it off.

For a while, Jimin spends his time getting familiar with the game all over again. There are moments where he remembers certain crafting recipes, like making a sword or a pickaxe—Yoongi and the others cheered him on when he made them without looking at hints, and the heat on his face probably lasted for some minutes after that.

He also made a small, beachside house, one that’s typical for a beginner—the roof is made of glass for a touch of fancying, to which Yoongi teasingly fawned over.

Jimin eventually travels far, way too far for his liking that the sun is just about to set for the second night, and when he turns around to head back, he gets lost in his panic. Damn it, he really should have picked peaceful mode.

jkjkay: hyung skip going home and just find the warden it’s like the baby version of an ender dragon easy to kill

thvkim_: DONT LISTEN TO HIM

agustd: Jimin’s not stupid jk stfu

jjwan: NO WHY DID YOU KILL THE PINK SHEEP

jkjkay: if not stupid then why get lost

rkive: Jimin, nighttime is coming. If you’re scared of the mobs, swim to the mushroom biome across. You’ll be safe there

thvkim_: IGNORE EVERYTHING JK SAYS AND NOTE EVERYTHING JOON HYUNG SAYS

agustd: Jk you’re being a hater right now I’m banning you

filledwithhope: I live for your carefree mc life

jkjkay: your inventory disappoints me

jjwan: Literally living off of flowers and hopes

filledwithhope: Striving to live that way

agustd: Leave him alone you losers he’s just having fun

rkive: So defensive 🥴

thvkim_: respect the gamer!!!!

agustd: Stop rage baiting my god

Jimin silently does as Namjoon says and swims across the small distance between his land to the mushroom biome. He stays quiet as he focuses on his goal, inwardly panicking at the thought of a mob following him from behind. Yoongi seems to take his silence differently, though.

“You okay?” His hyung whispers.

“Huh? Yeah, of course, it’s just that—night time Minecraft scares me.” Jimin chuckles nervously. “It’s a whole ass horror movie, especially when it's in hardcore mode.”

“Ah, don’t worry about it too much, just follow what Namjoon said and you’ll be fine.”

He focuses so much on his game screen that he misses five new viewers appearing, but Yoongi doesn't mention it—not when they don't say anything in the chat anyway.

thvkim_: you know what would be funner

agustd: Don’t even bother

Jimin doesn't read the whole chat, his face buried in his palm and uncharacteristically quiet while waiting for the sun to rise. Again, Yoongi must have noticed this, because a hand lands on the back of his head, gently massaging it.

“I’m certain you’re not okay this time,” his hyung mumbles. “Is it your eyes?”

Weakly, Jimin nods, the stabbing pain in the back of his eyes too bothersome to even feel giddy about the fact that his crush is gently massaging his head.

“Well, you did play for about… wow, thirty minutes.” Yoongi lightly squeezes the base of his nape. “You never lasted this long.”

Jimin pulls down his hands, eyes squinted as he looks to the side at his hyung. “I tried to ignore it for as long as I could. I was having fun,” he pouts.

“I know, I noticed. But now, you need to rest.” Before he could protest, Yoongi cut him off to continue. “It doesn't matter if your stream is short. Your health is more important than that.”

“But hyung,” Jimin whines unabashedly, too in pain to care.

Fortunately, Yoongi doesn't shut him down for being embarrassing or annoying, instead he chuckles softly and pulls his chair closer—getting Jimin slightly out of frame. His hyung pulls down the headphones to his neck, and they momentarily forget about the stream, Jimin focusing solely on the pleasant sensation of gentle fingers massaging his head.

“Maybe we should really play together, so that I could make your minecraft dream house come true,” Yoongi whispers softly, careful about his volume in case it’ll make Jimin’s head throb even more.

“Minecraft dream house… Reminds me of Barbie’s dreamhouse. We should definitely make her house, hyung.”

“Anything you want, Min.”

Jimin hums, pleased at the ready response he gets. Maybe Taehyung’s right—it’ll be much more fun if he and his hyung played together. And maybe not just for Minecraft, but for plenty of other games they could play.

“I’ll continue the build while you rest your eyes, so that the progress isn't too slow.”

“Cool, that’d be nice.” He cracks his eyes open into a squint, and they both share a grin.

Yoongi quietly reads the chat while Jimin focuses on the massage, staring at his hyung’s side profile through squinted eyes.

“They’re being annoying…”

“What are they saying?” He moves to turn his head, but Yoongi puts a hand on his cheek, stopping him from doing so.

“Don’t mind them, your migraine will only get worse.”

With a gulp, Jimin slowly nods. He stays in place for a few more moments before he hints at Yoongi to stop. They both pull away—quite awkwardly, he must say—and he goes back to facing the camera, smiling apologetically.

“Hyung said I should stop playing now, and he’s right, my eyes hurt too much and my head is throbbing.” He saves the game and exits it. The app closes and the homescreen must be the only thing the video shows now.

“You can talk to the guys for a bit before we end the live. I’m going to start setting up for mine,” Yoongi says while looking at the time.

“Oh, sure!”

Yoongi turns off screen sharing, so now it’s just Jimin in the frame. He talks to their friends animatedly, doubling over the chair laughing from time to time at their chaotic comments, and he even got the chance to interact with the new viewers. It turns out they were the friends Hoseok and Namjoon mentioned, and he thanks them profusely for checking his channel out.

All of this happens while Yoongi is busy in the background, moving the lighting kit around, changing the color of the LED, and adjusting other equipment. His hyung sometimes pops in to make a comment on the others’ teasing, but most of the time, he leaves him and the stream alone.

purple_delulu: It’s actually cool to see that agustd has a friend group like this

rkive: WHY is THIS more shocking than when I received exceeding marks in college

Horrified, Jimin quickly looks back to see if Yoongi’s paying attention, and when he sees he’s not, he looks at the camera, eyes crazed and desperate.

“Guys, please, tone down the teasing—oh my go-” he buries his face in his hands and whines low in his throat. “All of you, shut up, please, don’t mention that again.”

“What are they saying?” Yoongi comes closer and Jimin quickly covers the chat with his hands.

“Nothing! Just—about my, um, embarrassing moments! That’s all!”

Thankfully, his hyung just chuckles, though he raises a teasing eyebrow as if he isn't convinced. “Alright, if you say so.”

“God— I’ll end this here now, guys, bye!”

Jimin stays over for the rest of the night, watching Yoongi in his element when 10 PM strikes.

There's always truly something different about the way his hyung carries himself when he's streaming. He noticed how the usual shy grin when he wins something is replaced with a cocky smirk, and it's paired with boastful or taunting comments.

Another thing is the way he interacts with his viewers—it's almost fan service in a way, but also still Yoongi. When there's a flirty comment, he would flirt back in a mocking way, as if he gets how ridiculous it is to be virtually flirting.

Those are what he noticed when he was still actively watching his hyung’s streams some years ago. He assumed that that persona would remain—perhaps even more now that he’s apparently a golden play button holder. And that's what he’d expected to witness that night. Except it's the complete opposite.

The whole time Jimin sits on the stool idly watching Yoongi stream, sometimes at the chat or the game screen, he notices none of those things. His hyung is completely calm, face straight, almost bored, and he’s also quiet, save for the necessary communication he makes with his team.

He tilts his head curiously and carefully leans his elbow on the desk, resting his chin on his palm as he observes Yoongi unashamedly. His hyung must be busy to notice his stare, anyway. Besides, it’s not like he’s making googly eyes. After a while of staring, he eventually notices the chick headrest still intact, and he accidentally gasps out loud.

The sound immediately catches Yoongi’s attention, and their eyes meet briefly before his eyes are back on the game as quickly as it happened. Jimin covers his mouth apologetically, but he’s surprised once more when Yoongi actually acknowledges him.

“What happened?” He mumbles, perhaps not wanting the microphone to catch it, but also not wanting to ignore him.

However, Jimin is too embarrassed at his slip-up to speak, so he just shakes his head.

The corners of Yoongi’s lips curl up into a subtle smile. “You can talk, Min.”

His eyes widen and he shakes his head again, frantically this time. He looks at the chat screen and reads it in mortification. While most are focused on the game, some people are pointing out the bright yellow headrest that's apparently uncharacteristic of agustd, and others are curious about this ‘Min’ and who they might be.

“Alright, but if you need anything, just tap me.”

God— and he’s staying the night?

And when Jimin falls asleep there on the desk, he wouldn't notice the hushed way Yoongi spoke to his team and viewers, or the way he dimmed the lights, or the way he carries him to bed after the stream ends. A stream that unusually ended with only two rounds and only an hour in.

˙✧˖°🎮 ⋆。˚

The next day finds the both of them in the gaming room again, but earlier this time as they talk to their friends via Discord call. Last night's stream was brought up—well, it was literally the only thing they talked about to kill time.

Jimin was shocked when he woke up that morning tangled in Yoongi’s sheets—without the presence of his hyung. He’d laid there for almost an hour, horrified at the possibility that they both slept in the same bed. Although he later realized that wasn't the case, judging by the lack of remnant warmth beside him.

And he’s too embarrassed to ask Yoongi, so he spent another hour whisper-screaming at Taehyung through voicemail.

“He definitely carried me bridal style—! Or did he?”

It didn't take long for Taehyung to respond with his own voicemail. “No, hyung cruelly dragged your body across the floor—of course he carried you bridal style!”

And then they decided to call.

“Did he say anything in his stream? You watched the whole thing, right?!” Jimin stood up and paced around the room. He made sure to keep his steps light to avoid Yoongi checking in on him.

“Of course I watched the whole thing! I needed to report back to my best friend!”

Jimin halted. “So?!”

“He said his baby chick fell asleep so he has to end the stream early!”

Guffawing, Jimin gestured his free hand wildly in the air, struggling to find words. “His baby chick?! End early?!”

“You're his baby chick! Ended two hours early!”

And Jimin spent his good time face-planting on the bed and soundlessly screaming into a pillow—Yoongi’s pillow that deliciously smelled like the owner’s shampoo and cologne.

“No, like you two were so cute, guys! You blew up online!” Hoseok excitedly screeches, and a few faces on the screen wince at the volume.

“I saw those. There were even edits,” Jungkook snorts and the others chime in with the content they’ve seen on their feeds.

“Did they discover my channel?” Jimin asks, face twisting at the possibility. He’d been, once again, too embarrassed and anxious to check notifications, so he’s quite clueless on what's going on online.

“Quite a few of them did.” It’s Yoongi who answers, and he looks at his hyung in shock. “What? It notified me and your subscribers went up to around 300 maybe? That was five hours ago, though.”

Taehyung loudly sputters, and he pulls the camera close to his face as he asks, flabbergasted, “Notified you?”

“Well, yeah? Jimin’s logged into my PC, so.” Yoongi shrugs, as if it’s normal. And is it? Is it really? Jimin will have to ask Jungkook if it's normal.

In fact, he does immediately whip out his phone to ask Jungkook that. (It’s better to ask the nonchalant kid of the group instead of his best friend who feeds his delusions.) The answer is negative, and he begins to overthink.

Ignoring the younger’s knowing look on the screen, Jimin puts down his phone and focuses back into the conversation—one that is still about him and his hyung.

“...downloaded those stupid mods you recommended. I pray for my laptop’s health.”

Jimin looks at Yoongi confusedly and he gets a gentle pat on the head. “Those mods I told you about.”

Oh, right. During lunch, they discussed their new plans for his stream. Yoongi would be playing on his laptop, but he wouldn't necessarily actively participate in the stream. His hyung had prepared a lot for tonight’s stream—downloading those ‘aesthetic’ mods Hoseok suggested yesterday.

“By the way, are you staying the night again, Jimin?” Taehyung asks casually, but the others do not react normally.

There is a moment of silence before a chaotic series of confused, surprised, and excited yelling echoes in the speakers. While Taehyung has the time of his life laughing at the two, Jimin sputters in his defense, and he doesn't know how Yoongi’s dealing right now.

“It was very late! Hyung was fine with it—don’t we all sleep over at each other’s places sometimes?”

“Ah, right,” Seokjin says, dragging out his vowels.

“Guys, why are you being weird about it!”

“Not weird!” Hoseok screams.

“I just think it’s romantic that you stayed up with Yoongi-hyung’s stream, beside him.” Namjoon’s grin grows wider at the silence.

Eventually, Yoongi awkwardly clears his throat. “Ah, Jimin fell asleep halfway, so I had to end it earlier.” He shrugs his shoulders. “My play wasn't all that too good anyway…”

“Let’s—um—just get on with the stream. We have five minutes left.” Jimin quickly changes the topic, rolling the chair away.

“Have fun with your baby chick!”

“Hope no baby chick falls asleep early!”

“Game well, baby chick!”

“See you later, Yoongi’s Baby Chick!”

“Bye, baby chick!”

Yoongi shares quick farewells with the guys before they end the call, and he drags Jimin by the chair back in place. “Don't mind those brats,” he says.

“They're professionally annoying.”

“Yeah, they are,” his hyung snorts, and Jimin swears he can see a light shade of pink on Yoongi’s cheeks. It’s not the lighting—it has to be a flustered blush.

Well, Jimin can't really comment on it, anyway, knowing he himself isn't faring much better.

Finally, they go live.

Their friends are immediately flooding the chat, but what's different this time is the amount of people coming in. He looks at the view counter and his jaw goes slack—viewers are steadily increasing, quickly going from seven to two-hundred (and counting). The comments are also moving fast, making it hard and overwhelming to read.

“Hyung… there’s a lot of them,” Jimin marvels with a gasp. “I can't even see the guys’ names.”

Yoongi looks up from his laptop. “I’ll turn on slow mode if you want.”

“If you think it’ll help us read the chat better, go for it.”

“Don't worry, mine is always turned on as well.” Yoongi leans in and changes the settings.

While his hyung takes care of it, Jimin looks at the camera and grins excitedly. “Hi everyone! You all probably came from Agust-hyungnim’s channel, right?”

Yoongi sputters, eyes wide as he shoots him a look of disbelief. “Agust-hyungnim? Seriously?”

“It’s cute!” Jimin laughs, leaning his head back as he does, and he hears his hyung giggling. “Leave it be, let’s play!”

They create a new world and call it ‘minmini adventures’, and the mode is still in ‘hardcore’, but this time, it's with the promise of Yoongi protecting Jimin. He had to use all his face muscles not to grin maniacally at how pleasing it sounded.

A small house was built, enough to fit a long chest, two furnaces, a crafting table… and a ‘king-sized’ bed, as Yoongi had jokingly called it. And Jimin had to brush it off, act like it was normal to virtually sleep next to your friend—he resisted the urge to message Jungkook if it was.

Maybe it's a bro thing?

All of these little things Yoongi say or do didn't go unnoticed by their viewers, and the comments were often filled with teasing remarks about it. It's both cute and embarrassing —is this Yoongi's cute version of fanservice? Very opposite to his solo streams.

Taking a break from his inner turmoil, he glances at the chatroom. Surprisingly, most of them are having full-blown conversations with Taehyung and Seokjin. Meanwhile, Hoseok and Jungkook are throwing suggestions about everything. However, there's a decent number of people who kept asking for his hyung to show up on camera.

He smiles kindly, but his voice is firm as he says, “Guys… hyung doesn't really want to be on camera for my streams.”

This was one of the reasons why he wasn't too keen on getting free promotion from Yoongi and Jungkook—their fans would be asking for them. It's not like he doesn't want to talk about them, though, he loves to talk about his friends. But he thinks that there will be people who’d only watch to see the two, not because they're there for Jimin. And he fears it's already happening.

“They’re looking for me?” Yoongi looks up from the screen, but doesn't lean in to show up on camera.

“Uhuh,” he mumbles.

With a sigh, Yoongi pulls the microphone to him, still not giving the viewers the satisfaction of showing up in frame. “People, this is Min’s channel, so it’s his spotlight, not mine, okay? Trust me, he’s a really fun guy, so you’ll all have a great time with him, too.”

“It's okay, hyung, but thank you.” Jimin smiles shyly, then pulls the microphone back to him. “Hyung is the best,” he whispers to it.

“I know, and you're the bestest,” Yoongi whispers back, and they both stare at each other with wide, sweet smiles.

After a while, Yoongi straightens up and clears his throat. “Um, right, game.”

The play continues. Yoongi goes on to a cave he stumbled upon earlier, while Jimin busies himself getting lost in the forest to hunt and collect wood. He also managed to capture a chicken, one he named ‘Seokjin’ and trapped it in their house.

It goes on for a while—him demanding his hyung to find diamonds ‘ASAP’ and him eventually getting lost in the woods. He starts to get lost, but he doesn't tell Yoongi, simply enjoying the experience.

And then, he sees it. Not too far ahead, he could see two things: snow, and cherry blossoms. He gasps. “Oooo! That place looks interesting!”

Yoongi takes a quick glance at his screen before groaning. “God—Min, no, don’t you dare.”

“But hyung, it’s the pink biome, and it’s snowing! I can see it!” Jimin nearly jumps in his seat as he makes a run for it to the biome.

“Min, no, wait, I’m way deep into the cave!” Yoongi's now frantically glancing between their screens.

“Just catch up when you’re done.”

“Jimin.” Sounds of mobs being fought can be heard through his hyung’s laptop. And the exact moment Jimin glances at his screen, he falls into a pool of lava.“Fu—!”

Yoongi freezes as he stares at the screen mocking him that he’d died. They're both quiet for a moment, but it doesn't take long for Jimin to whisper meekly, “Did you die?”

A scoff, one that’s in disbelief and amusement. “Someone rushed me.”

“I said just catch up, not run up!”

“Who’s gonna protect your cute ass? It’s almost night time and you’re roaming around wherever the fu— damn that is!”

Jimin catches the way Yoongi censors himself, and he holds back a laugh at it. One of the things they've discussed streaming together is watching their language—he’s fond of his hyung for taking it seriously.

“Well, fine, I’ll go get your stuff.” He turns his character around and runs to hurry back.

“Don’t bother—”

But then, he falls into a sinkhole. “Oops,” is all he says.

A beat of silence stretches for god knows how long, until Yoongi scoffs in astonishment.

“Min!”

Jimin grins sheepishly at the camera, his shoulders going up in an embarrassed manner. “Um, so guys, I think we’re gonna start over!”

“Goodness…” Yoongi sighs, pouting down at his own ‘death’ screen.

“Don’t pout, hyung, it's not like we made that much progress anyway!” And it's true. Though they may have acquired themselves a pet chicken, that was basically the most progress they’ve done. Or what Jimin’s done, anyway.

Yoongi seems like he’s had the most progress. He’s been down at the cave for a long time and kept mining nonstop. “I saw diamonds, Min, diamonds, just like you begged me to find—we had a son!”

Him putting it that way almost blanks Jimin’s mind. What does he mean they had a son? Is it normal to have a son with your bro? He should really ask Jungkook more about where the ‘bro’ line starts and ends.

“Hyung, it was just an imprisoned stray chicken! It was just Seokjin-hyung anyway—” if the said hyung was there, they’d definitely hear a guffaw and endless ranting.

Yoongi just groans loudly, but concedes. “Alright, alright, let's do a second take.” He leans back into the chair and stretches with a small moan. “If we die early again, we’ll have to switch games.”

Pretending the sound hadn't affected him, Jimin asks, “Like what?”

“Cute games for a cutie like you.” And when their eyes meet, Yoongi flashes him a grin, one that’s gummy and innocent, and yet teasing altogether.

“Hyungnim,” Jimin whines out, dragging the vowels.

Yoongi just laughs, leaning his head back. “Stop that!”

The chatroom is ignored. They both continue on with their new world, falling into the same pattern and routine as before, except they agreed to never leave the other behind. Though, that’s just for Jimin.

As they settle on a decent rhythm, Jimin gradually becomes slower, and he gets easily distracted by reading and quietly talking to the viewers. Yoongi picks up on this, especially when it's nighttime and Jimin’s character is left standing idly in the middle of the forest.

“Min,” Yoongi whispers.

“Hm?” He turns to look at his hyung, eyes unknowingly squinting.

“You need to rest now.”

Jimin straightens up in his seat and shakes his head. “I can still go, hyung.”

Sighing, Yoongi puts a hand on Jimin’s nape and lightly squeezes the base of it. “No, you can barely open your eyes—come on, we can end the stream here.”

“But I don't wanna…” He wears a small pout, and Yoongi smiles lazily. Then, he uses his free hand to pull Jimin’s chair closer and out of the frame.

“I don't wanna, too, but you’re in pain, Min-ah, and it's worrying me,” His hyung whispers while moving his fingers up to gently massage his temples..

“I'll be okay.”

“No.” Yoongi slightly shakes his head. “We've been playing for almost an hour, you must be in so much pain.”

“Fine…” Jimin’s shoulders slump, and Yoongi just pats his head. He rolls back into frame and says with a pout, “Everyone, we're gonna end the stream here, I’m sorry.”

His eyes move to the chat and sees a lot of them asking if he was okay, and he smiles sheepishly. It’s always easy to be vulnerable in front of Yoongi, and it’s surprising that it’s the same even with a camera in front of them.

“I have this motion sickness thing where any 3D game I play, I get nauseous. That's why hyung’s here with me to make sure I’m okay.” He shrugs his shoulders to assure them that it’s normal and alright.

“I won't stay for long—hyung has to prepare for his stream, right?” Jimin glances at Yoongi and sees him nod.

“Yeah,” he quietly says.

The chat starts flooding again, and this time, it’s about Yoongi’s stream. He feels heat creep up his neck and cheeks as he looks at his hyung shyly. “They're asking if it was me last night.”

A gummy smile blooms on Yoongi’s face, and Jimin can't help feeling pleased that he's the only one who can see it right now. “Who else would it be?” Yoongi says nonchalantly.

Jimin stares at his hyung, jaw dropped. He finds himself at a loss of words, and before he could do or say anything stupid, he looks at the camera and quickly says, “Bye, everyone.”

“You gonna sleep over?” His head snaps to Yoongi’s direction and he frowns apologetically.

“Unfortunately, I can't. Tomorrow’s Monday and all.”

“I’ll walk you home,” Yoongi says decisively, leaving no room for argument.

Still, Jimin asks, “What about your stream?”

“Your safety matters more.” Yoongi shrugs.

“Okay, hyung.” And finally, they turn off the stream, not caring that everyone heard them. Besides, it’s normal for friends to make sure the other is safe…

After they quickly set up for Yoongi’s stream, they finally headed out. The walk back to his place is filled with hushed conversations about their friends, and games his hyung thinks he should try out. Jimin is too distracted by this moment with Yoongi that he doesn't realize that they’ve already arrived not too long ago, yet they stayed standing in front of each other to talk.

Time always gets lost when he’s talking with Yoongi.

“That was way too quick,” Jimin comments awkwardly.

“We only live a few minutes away from each other.”

“I know, I guess I just wanted…” He hesitates, but seeing as Yoongi’s been bold with him tonight, he decides to just say it, “More time with you.”

Red colors Yoongi’s cheeks, and he doesn't want to convince himself that it’s from the cold. “If you want, I’ll come over tomorrow,” Yoongi blurts out almost robotically, and Jimin presses his lips to contain a chuckle.

“Dinner?” He asks, knowing that they’ll be out working the whole day.

“Yeah,” Yoongi nods, then adds, “And don't worry, I’ll cook.”

The image of his hyung cooking in his kitchen is uncommon, yet it always makes him feel jittery. “You sure?”

“Of course,” Yoongi nods again. “I can also pick you up from work, if you want.”

Now that is something new. He’s never been picked up by Yoongi from work before. They both have separate cars, and his hyung might've forgotten, but Jimin decides not to mention it. He’ll just take the bus to work tomorrow. Simple!

“I’d love that, hyung.”

Yoongi bites his lip, then mumbles, “Cool.”

It's quiet between them, and he knows they should probably part ways now, but he finds it hard to do so. Somehow, he feels like something is about to happen—but aside from that, he just really wants to be with Yoongi.

“Thank you for yesterday and today,” Jimin finally says after a while. “I had a lot of fun—you're really the best, hyung,” he adds the last part shyly, ducking his head.

No, he’s not trying to act cute…

“I had fun, too. You're quite cute when you play.”

His head snaps up at Yoongi’s words, resisting a smile that threatens to split his face because —oh, god… His hyung meant it, too, seeing as he’s blushing and avoiding his eyes, ruffling his own hair awkwardly with that endearing habit of his.

Giddiness settles in his mind, body, and soul, but Jimin tries to act nonchalant about it. “Ah, really?” He asks with a small, coy smile.

“Yeah,” Yoongi sounds breathless, his gaze intense. “The viewers are lucky.”

Pursing his lips, Jimin considers his next words. If Yoongi is not teasing, then he must be flirting, right? And shyly at that—because he’s blushing and looking awkward.

“You're luckier,” he decides to say, because it’s true—Yoongi is luckier, as he gets to see Jimin anytime he wants, tell him compliments anytime he wants, date him if he wants. But Jimin’s not gonna say those, of course.

“Am I really?” A look of wonder settles on Yoongi’s face. And now, he looks deep in thought, as if he’s trying to understand the implications of Jimin’s words.

Jimin simply giggles, his hyung is too cute. “Mhm. Good night, hyung.”

Yoongi blinks out of his thoughts and nods at him. “Good night, Min-ah.”

When his hyung doesn't make a move to leave, he says in regards to Yoongi’s stream, “I’ll tune in for a bit before I sleep.”

Squinting his eyes, Yoongi looks like he’s considering his response. His face soon smoothes out, and a small smirk curls on his lips. “I'll have to impress you, then.” Yet, Jimin can tell he’s still not teasing, that he actually meant what he said.

A small, shocked exhale, then Jimin says seriously, “No need, you already did that countless times.” And breathlessly, he whispers, “Bye.”

“Bye,” Yoongi whispers back, equally breathless as him. “I’ll—”

Jimin is just turning around to enter his apartment building, but he stops and slightly turns to Yoongi. “Hm?” He hums, tilting his head curiously.

“Nothing, nevermind, I—I’m looking forward to tomorrow.” Yoongi’s hands are in his sweatpants’ pockets, but Jimin sees the way they fist, and his stance seems tense.

He fully faces Yoongi then, though he stays rooted on his spot. “Me, too,” he says.

This is the first time he’s seen Yoongi on edge the way he is in front of him right now, and he’s slightly worried. He knows his hyung has something else to say, but he chooses to stay quiet and patiently wait. Yoongi is just mustering the courage to say what’s on his mind.

“Would it be different?” Yoongi finally asks, voice taut with nerves. “From all the other times?” He adds.

Jimin doesn't want to assume, he really doesn't, but he has a feeling that the ‘different’ Yoongi meant was not about the routine, but the meaning behind it. Would they be eating dinner as best friends? As… more than friends? Would it be a date? That's how he interprets it.

Despite these assumptions, Jimin still wants to be clear, and he wants Yoongi to say it himself. So, vaguely, he asks, “Well, you're the one who initiated it, hyung, so do you want it to be?”

“Yes,” comes the immediate response.

Jimin momentarily freezes, but then he walks up to Yoongi’s space. “Wha—really?” He asks, searching his hyung’s eyes for something, and he does see it. The soft, yet determined edge to it, and there's something different about the way he regards Jimin, too.

“I want it to be different. I want it to be a date, but at the same time not,” Yoongi mutters, and when Jimin steps back at his words, he quickly goes after him and continues, “Because I want our first, real date to be more than my home cooked meal at yours.”

“Oh,” Jimin breathes out, stunned. “So by different, you mean dinner together, but not just as friends?” His hand comes up and grips Yoongi’s jacket tightly. “Just say it, hyung,” he basically demands, sensing his hyung has more to say.

“Sorry, I’m really not used to this.” Yoongi lets out an embarrassed chuckle. Then, after clearing his throat, he straightens up and says with a clear voice, “But yeah, I still want tomorrow’s dinner to happen, but I just want you to know that I want to take you out on a real date after that. Maybe this Saturday?”

Jimin doesn't answer immediately. Because— holy shit. He didn't pass out in the middle of the stream and dream of Yoongi asking him out, right?

After a brief pause, Jimin’s shoulders and his grip relaxes. He meets Yoongi’s eyes and smiles giddily. “Saturday is good. And thank you for telling me, I want to go out on a real date with you, too.”

“Wow.” Yoongi is breathless once more, and Jimin giggles at his cute, shocked face. “Cool, yeah, that's very good to know.” He nods to himself, and he's awkward, but Jimin thinks it's cute—Yoongi’s really, really cute.

But then his smile drops, mind drifting back to the comments on the stream. He lets go of Yoongi and steps back, then raises an eyebrow at him. “You're not just doing this because of their teasing about us being cute together, right?”

Yoongi sputters, his hands coming up to Jimin’s shoulders. Serious and determined, he says, “Hell no—no way, I like you, like, genuinely like you, romantically , for a long time now. Maybe I just got a boost of confidence when I’m seeing the signs so clearly now.”

A beat of silence, and then Jimin bursts into giggles. Yoongi steps back in shock at the reaction, but Jimin continues giggling. Nothing's funny—his stomach and chest is just filled to the brim with giddiness that it tickles. If he were on his bed right now, he would've been rolling around. Now, he just opts to hug himself.

He likes Yoongi so much. And it's mutual.

Covering his mouth, Jimin lets out another giggle before saying, “Good night, hyung.” He grins widely, it hurts, but it hurts less when Yoongi's lips slowly stretch into his own giddy one.

“Good night—can I text you good night later, too, before I sleep?” He looks less nervous now.

“Of course!” Jimin bites his lip as he slowly walks backwards. “I’ll also text you when I'm going to sleep.”

“Great… bye, good night.” Yoongi’s exhales deeply, and the fists in his pockets are finally eased.

“Bye, hyung, good night.” He stops in his tracks for a moment, then surprises both of them. Jimin jumps in to press a quick kiss on Yoongi's cheeks before speed walking away.

The last thing he hears is the sound of Yoongi’s own laughter—one that sounds disbelieving—before the doors to the building separates them.

He likes Yoongi a lot. More than that, actually.

When Jimin’s cuddled up in bed, he opens Yoongi’s Twitch channel and is surprised to see a huge number of followers. It's a lot— more than he could actually comprehend. When he skims down the replays, he sees that the average view count was around 800 thousand. That’s about 795,000 more than his. It's crazy! The last time he watched Yoongi live from his channel, his hyung had at most ten thousand.

Jimin clicks the top most video—the on air one—and the sounds of guns and running immediately fills the quietness in his room. He doesn't lower the volume, anticipating Yoongi's voice, and he doesn't need to wait long.

“Ah, fuck—I mean, damn it.”

The cursing brings a smile to Jimin’s face, and he wonders; is Yoongi censoring himself, knowing Jimin is watching? He giggles giddily at his own delusion and buries his chin in the blanket.

Yoongi’s character runs while setting off a grenade, then throws it somewhere while he ducks down behind something. A loud bang of a bomb goes off, and then Yoongi’s running again, this time with a gun in hand. In all of Jimin’s honesty, he doesn't understand a single thing, nor does he recognize anything, but what he knows is this: Yoongi's hot.

“This fu-stupid bastard.” Yoongi chuckles and shakes his head, almost disappointed. “Not gonna lie, this is boring me, and it's getting on my nerves.” He sighs and takes down the last opponent before leaning back in his chair comfortably. It doesn't look like he’s celebrating his team’s victory—bored, just like he said.

His eyes go over to the side, probably reading the chat. “What about Min?” He chuckles.

Jimin’s breathing and heartbeat stop altogether, and his eyes grow wide. Somehow, he feels anxious. Oh my god. Yoongi is openly talking about him on his stream.

“If some of you watched his stream today, you’ll know I walked him home.” Yoongi shrugs and takes a sip of water from his tumbler. “So, no, he’s not with me right now. He's watching, though.”

Jimin quickly checks the comments, and he sees that some of them say if that's why Yoongi was posturing during the whole play. He snorts at that because his hyung did mention something about impressing him. Some of the comments are also saying ‘hi’ to Jimin, and he recognizes some of the usernames to be his viewers.

“Yeah, he’s cute, isn't he?”

His eyes snap back to Yoongi, and he bites his lip to contain a huge, giddy grin.

“How we met?”

With a gulp, Jimin prepares himself for Yoongi's story. He really wants to know his hyung’s perspective on how they met, their dynamic— them.

“We met in college—well, he was in college, and I just graduated. Met him through Jungkook, we started hanging out with other friends, and that's how our friend group formed.” Yoongi clears his throat. “And no, I won't tell you what my first impression of him was. I wanna tell it to him personally.”

Jimin whines loudly and buries his face in his pillow, screaming the way he did some days ago. Why is Yoongi like this? Why is he so—sweet? Cute? Endearing? Hot?

He guesses his hyung wants to tell him his real first impression of Jimin, because all of them in the group had basically talked about it multiple times. Whenever they’re feeling nostalgic, they share these thoughts, and even if they're always the same, all of them would tease and laugh at each other like it's the first time they’ve heard it.

“Yeah, my heart’s pretty much taken,” he hears Yoongi say.

With that, Jimin closes the stream and decides to just sleep these giddy feelings away. He’d considered commenting to see his hyung’s adorable flustered face, but decided against it. So he just texts Yoongi like he promised he would, then finally puts down his phone and closes his eyes.
