Elias hasn’t gotten a single happy birthday text from anyone except for his parents.
Even his boyfriend hasn’t said anything.
Did Alexander forget???
Elias put his phone down and sighed, he started to eat his breakfast. His parents noticed he was kinda depressed.
”Elias is everything okay?” His mom asked him softly.
“Is there anything you wanted to do for your birthday?” His dad asked.
”Yeah I’m fine mom, and dad I wanted to keep the party small this year,” Elias got up from his seat and walked to school. His parents looked at each other, they knew something was up.
When Elias got to class, he sat down next to Alexander. “Hey babe,” he kissed Alexander on the cheek.
”Hey, what’s up.” Alexander replied and also kissed Elias on the cheek.
”Nothing… There’s nothing important today right?” Elias asked slightly smirking.
”Oh yeah! I remember something!!” Alexander exclaimed.
Elias perked up and smiled, “What is it then?”
“My dad is finally bringing me and my sister out for dinner; he’s always working.” Elias’s smile slightly faltered.
”Oh that’s great,” Elias held himself back from telling Alexander that it’s his birthday. Did he even mention to Alexander when his birthday was???
At lunch, Elias still hadn’t got any happy birthday wishes from any of his friends. He was sure they should’ve remembered from last year when they held a party in class. Elias ate silently and wondered if they were all too busy to remember his birthday.
”I’m going to my Aunt’s dog’s birthday party with a couple of us, so I won’t be home.” Valerie said.
How the HELL does she remember a dog’s birthday over HIS.
Later after school, Elias biked home alone. He couldn’t believe no one remembered his birthday. Tears welled up in his eyes and he wiped them away before entering his house.
Elias noticed the lights were off in the house and unlocked the door. He walked in then- “SURPRISE!!!” Confetti flew everywhere as Elias took in the scene. His parents, Alexander, Alexander’s dad and sister, and his friends all were here. THEY PLANNED A SURPRISE PARTY.
Elias ran to give Alexander a hug and he cried in his arms. “I-I t-thought you f-forgot my birthday.”
“I would never mon petit copain."
Elias thanked everyone for coming and then they sung Happy Birthday while his mom brought out the cake.
Elias blew out the candles and closed his eyes to make a wish.
Elias then opened his presents and got a new bike, new video games, etc. Alexander gave him a birthday card. Inside, there were two tickets to his favorite movie.
”Your parents let me take you on another date.” Alexander whispered in his hear.
”Thank you!!! I can’t wait!!!” Elias look elated and hugged Alexander and his parents.
Elias was glad his friends and family “forgot” his birthday.
