He never noticed the clock in Nick's uni room until the dead of night, when the whole building settled into dormant silence.
As the tick-tick-tick seemed to sync up with his own heartbeat, Charlie wished for the hundredth time to be asleep, but slumber was eluding him.
It seemed like a long train ride, pub time with Nick's friends, and a vigorous shag should wear him out. Maybe it over stimulated him into insomnia instead.
If he couldn't be in restorative rest, at least he had the most beautiful human in the world to admire laying beside him, snoring lightly.
