the ellipse of the well (death will forget about us)

Summary:

In which everything is a choice.

Written for the Drarry Microfic Monday, 30 June prompt, welcome.

Notes:

When I saw the prompt I could think of a few directions, but two poems that came up definitely pushed me here!

The rhythm of the listed moments isn't quite right (though they are in pairs!) but they just didn't want to cooperate.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

fic credits as per ao3 header, the background is a blue-ish texture that looks like a crack in the world, with the darkness tinged red, and a cliff slope leading down to the right.

For a moment, the world hangs—the robe shop, the handshake, the artifact shop, the train, the toilets, the tower, the manor, the forest—as two souls circle around each other in fate. Choose to welcome or choose to destroy?

All these big and little deaths, lingering.

The future waits.

Notes:

The title is from the poems THAT THE WORLD WAS THERE by Jacques Roubaud, and WE ARE SMALL by Claude Esteban.

My Blanket Statement.
