Summary
With her hand curled over Oþin's gouged-out eye, the dead seeress speaks of Ragnarokkr: the destruction of Asgard. Inevitably, Loki and his family are at the heart of it.
Driven by fear, Oþin takes drastic measures. Hel is banished to her realm, Sleipnir is hidden, Jormungandr put to sleep, and Fenrir is chained. Of the sons of Sigyn, only Vali survives. Loki himself is tied with his own son's entrails underneath stalactites of dripping poision.
Sometime later, the children and Sigyn have vanished. In their place stands Loki, and despite the torture, only speaks to mislead his father from his family. After a year, Frigg intercedes on behalf of Loki, but not without cost.
In saving her son, she has started the beginning of the end.
