GENERAL

Hybrids are mixtures of humans and animals from the class of mammals giving them features from their animal counterparts, most commonly ears, tails, claws, teeth (incisors are often most humane if the hybrid has teeth from it’s animal counterpart) and/or but not limited to things like a second set of vocal cords from the mammal, but also instincts and skills like night vision. Most common hybrids are domesticated hybrids like cats, dogs, goats and rabbits and they take approximately 60% of the total hybrids. But most respected hybrids are ALL apex predator hybrids no matter the species and secondary gender.

Hybrids don't rule out the existence of normal feral and domesticated mammals in the wild. They can co-exist and it’s common for hybrids and their animal counterparts to be in somewhat the same wavelength when it comes to communication and instincts depending if the person has a second set of vocal cords to adjust to the same communication.

There are NO normal humans without hybrid genes in the world, only hybrids. And each hybrid has a secondary gender of alpha α, beta β or omega Ω alongside their primary gender. Betas are most common and are about 70% of the total hybrid population, alphas and omegas are both about 15% of the population. Betas are seen as reliable all-rounders, just ordinary people with ordinary lives. Alphas are commonly seen as leader types and the strong ones with often dominating personality and aura while omegas are seen as caring and family oriented with more subtle and submissive personality and aura, stereotypes still exist, but more than secondary genders, the hybrid genes set the hierarchy in the world.

HIERARCHY

Hierarchy is inspired from animals we encounter in real life and how those are seen and work.

Apex predators are seen as top of the food chain in their specific domains where they play critical role for ecosystems and in most cases have no natural predators, therefore among hybrids apex predator hybrids, no matter of their primary or secondary gender, what kind of apex predator they are, are on top of the hierarchy, always. They are most respected but also the overall smallest percentage of the total population, being 5% of it.

Among hybrids, carnivorans are referred to wildlife species whose mammal part mainly eats meat, originally only referring to specific classes, but hybrids use the term for any wildlife hybrid that’s main diet is meat. They are often second highest on hierarchies due to many being hunters in the ecosystem to some extent. They are approximately 10% of the total population. Carnivoran omegas are high on the list as they are still hunters, even with secondary gender of omega.

Second biggest group of hybrids, the rest of the wildlife that aren’t seen as part of apexes or carnivorans. They are often the prey animals and herbivores which places them lower in hierarchy. They are more untamed and have stronger instincts for survival with often evolutionary skills to keep them alive. They are approximately 25% of the total population.

Domesticated hybrids are overall seen as lesser even when they are the majority of the population with 60%. Domesticated animals in real life tend to rely on protection from humans in order to survive in harsh places and are often meals for predators without good protection and lack more primal instincts of their ancestors, overall being a lesser counterpart of what they originate from. So among hybrids, those features that are noticed and domesticated are lowest in hierarchy, and are also seen as easy in disrespectful and degrading ways.

  4. α wildlife

GENDERS

Biological / Primary

XX is used to refer to a person who has been assigned female at birth (AFAB) on the aspect of biology and with that person is able to get pregnant. Secondary gender doesn’t alter the ability to get pregnant.

XY is used to refer to a person who has been assigned male at birth (AMAB) and makes them able to get XX pregnant. Secondary gender doesn't alter the ability to get someone pregnant.

XO indicates intersex, they often have gender still assigned at birth which has been decided by the doctors or parents if it's a more unclear case. Among hybrids their genders tend to be written as XX-XOs or XY-XOs to medical documents. Intersex hybrids tend to have capabilities of both genders and makes them able to get pregnant and get someone else pregnant, but it’s often tied to secondary genders.

  • XX-XO, biological gender is assigned to be female. Genitalia appears ambiguous, yet feminine. XXs born as alphas are automatically XX-XOs. They have developed enough testicular tissue to impregnate.
  • XY-XO, biological gender is assigned to be male. Genitalia appears more ambiguous, yet masculine. XYs born as omegas are automatically XY-XOs. They have developed enough ovarian tissue to get pregnant.
  • Intersex is not solely an alpha and/or omega feature. Even betas can be born as intersexes, they just lack any animal specific personality traits alphas and omega gain based on their secondary gender when they enter their mating cycle and just vibe. Beta XO’s are rarest and often more unwanted due to high risk of infertility. Intersex is not seen as negative at first until age of maturity as until that point it’s possible for hybrid to present as an alpha or an omega.

Biological gender affects the animal genetic part and it states if the person gets female or male appearance genetics of the animal they are hybrids of if there are differences between genders. Commonly those with male genetics of the animal are bigger, but it’s not always the case as the human part of the genetics also matters.

For example among hyena hybrids, biologically XX are bigger than biologically XY additionally among hyenas XX hybrids are preferred.

In the case of XO, animal appearance can be androgynous, but often it follows secondary gender in those cases. Making someone with an alpha secondary gender have more masculine characteristics of the species and someone with secondary gender of an omega get more feminine characteristics. Though, if it’s clear that someone is clearly more XX-XO, it’s more likely that they will inherit more of the female animal's characteristics. While XY-XO will inherit more male animal characteristics. Yet still they remain quite androgynous compared to XX or XY counterparts.

Biological gender can be different than the gender someone identifies as. Identification is free to change, but biological gender is often assigned at birth and written in medical files, though identifications are taken in mind in some parts of the world where it’s more open to change.

A/B/O / Secondary

All of the hybrids are born as betas until the age of adolescence and first cycle. Often if hybrids do have secondary gender they will get their first cycle at the age of 13-15 and sametime their scent will change according to the secondary gender. But are able to be present until the age of 18, it’s really uncommon to present after the age of 18. Traumas, both mental and physical, can cause lateness to the development. Or in some cases trigger presenting earlier. If there is no recorded trauma to affect development and the person hasn’t presented by the age of 18, they will be marked as beta to the medical files. Hybrid who has presented earlier doesn’t have strong cycles until the age of 18 when the animal part of them has also somewhat reached maturity alongside the human part. Age of consent is 18.

All secondary genders can be seen from the eyes when they use more of their hybrids' parts or give in to the instincts more. During that time the eyes will glow in colors matching the secondary gender, glowing is not always bright but can be any shade as long as the color matches the secondary gender color range.

  • Alphas eyes glow in a color range of red to orange.
  • Omegas eyes are able to glow from blue to purple.
  • Betas eyes can glow in colors from yellow to green.

Alphas (α / A) have qualities of XY chromosomes and get someone else pregnant.

  • They have ruts, but depending on alpha and lifestyle, they can pretty much be fertile at all times. Some hybrids have mating seasons and are most fertile during the time.
  • Can produce a knot, no matter the animal species, but it only happens during ruts. Knot doesn't alone lock alpha with their partner, and only omegas are able to lock around the knot too to keep it properly in.
  • Scents are often stronger and sharper.
  • It's NOT exclusive to people biologically XY.
  • Alpha XX are automatically intersex and referred to as XX-XYO. They can get any XX and any omegas pregnant. Alongside they can be pregnant themselves.

Omegas (Ω / O) have qualities of XX chromosomes, get pregnant and such.

  • They have heats and are most fertile during that time. Some hybrids have mating seasons which makes them highly fertile, it’s often once a year.
  • During heats, omegas release pheromones that can act like sex drugs in a way, often encouraging their mate to mate with the omega.
  • Produces slick that acts like a lube, doesn't seem to work so well with condoms so proper lube is recommended. They produce more slick during heats.
  • Scents are commonly sweeter and have a calming effect.
  • Is NOT exclusive to people biologically XX.
  • Omega XY are automatically intersex and referred to as XY-XYO. They can get pregnant, but it is more riskier than those who are biologically XX and XX-XYOs due to the anatomical differences. They can also get XXs and other omegas pregnant.

Betas (β / B) won't have change, addition or alter to their biological qualities.

  • Beta's are able to kind of match their partner and are able to produce small knot if their mate is an omega, but taking a knot is still hard and can feel uncomfortable if their partner is an alpha. Beta's won't produce slick even if they are with an alpha.

MATING CYCLES

In the sense of hybrids, secondary gender can alter things like personality during the mating cycles as the hybrid part is often more on front.

  • Alphas get personality traits of males of the species, no matter the biological gender and tend to be more territorial, possessive and protective. Alpha’s rarely allow anyone outside of their pack to be near them or their pack during the rut, especially around their mate.
  • Omegas often get personality traits of the females of the species, no matter the biological gender. Any non-domesticated omega hybrids tend to be harder to impress, rarely submitting instantly even in the presence of an alpha. They expect potential partners to work for their chance and show they are worthy of the energy they are going to spend on carrying the partner's offspring. Though once a mating bond has been set and is two-sided, omegas tend to be more willing in the presence of their mate.

Heats and ruts

  • Apexes have their cycles every 4-6 months. While wildlife and carnivorans, cycles happen every 2-3 months. Averagely their cycles last 3-7 days, and their pre-cycle can be sensed from their scent up to two weeks before the cycles start, apexes can be sensed around three weeks before their cycle. Omegas tend to start nesting a couple of days before the cycle starts while alpha’s become more tense. There can be expectations.
  • Many domesticated hybrids have shorter cycles and have their heats and ruts every 1-1,5 months, due to short cycles, they don’t have mating seasons. As the cycles are shorter, their heat and rut time is commonly 3 days with only a day or two of pre-cycle.

Heats and ruts can be controlled, eased and/or suppressed with different kinds of medicines that can be sought from professionals of the field. There seems to be some preferences on who can get medicines to ease things, often those who are higher in society's hierarchy are more likely able to get stronger medicines for their cycles. Any pre-cycle scents can also be blocked with scent blockers if those are covering the major scent glands.

Mating season

Most of the wildlife hybrids have a specific mating season and at least one of their cycles will happen during said mating season. During mating season heats and ruts last on average 50% longer. Additionally, omegas are much more fertile during that time which results in many of said species having peaks in birthrates in specific times of the year. Alphas are often even more aggressive and protective.

  • For wolves from February to March
  • For bears from May to July
  • For snow leopards January to mid March

If beta is part of wildlife hybrids, they are affected by mating season! They will go into mating season cycle as it’s known commonly, then their biological gender states what their instincts want to do!

Mating bites

Mating bite can be set on three spots on the person’s body, on major scent glands on either side of the neck or back of the neck where there are more nerves. Any of the three spots is a valid spot for the mating bond, though some spots are preferred over others. Back of the neck is common on omegas when they have got a one-sided bond, often rushed and done in the heat of the moment. While sides of the neck are seen more loving and done by pairs who are more loving towards each other, it’s seen as a tender and intimate spot.

Pair can only mate during the cycle for the bite to stay, it often happens when cycles have synced up. Proper bonds and bites are always two sided in order to form a life-long bond, if it’s only one-sided the bite will fully heal in 4-8 months. During that time some might refuse to help the bitten hybrid during their cycles maybe due to fear of the partner, one-sided bonds are commonly shamed on, especially if it’s accidental.

  • Alphas are more likely to bite their partner during their ruts and set one-sided bites.
  • Wildlife hybrid betas are often able to form bonds during mating season cycles, while domesticated betas require their partner to be either alpha or omega and them to be in cycle to form lifelong bonds with them. Beta domesticated hybrids might not be able to ever form lifelong bonds with each domesticated betas. There are some medicines existing that could trigger a cycle but are often quite expensive to get.

Synced cycles commonly happen between hybrids who are already in a relationship together, it means slowly their cycle times will alter to get closer to each other’s cycles. Sometimes there won’t be an easy change and the cycle will skip literal months to sync up if it’s necessary. Additionally, if a domesticated hybrid is in a relationship with someone with fewer cycles, it won’t make the domesticated to have less cycles, but will make those cycles that don’t happen at the same time as their partner to not be as strong, while cycles that match are often stronger.

COMPATIBILITY

The animal part of the genetics will tell if hybrids are able to produce offspring, if the animal parts are incompatible, hybrids are automatically infertile with each other. The animal parts of their genetics overdrive any remaining human genetics there is.

Hybrids are classified based on their animal part of the genetics in families and those in subfamilies. Those species families will state what kind of hybrids are compatible with each other and if their relationship would result in offsprings or if it’s even moderately possible for the said hybrids to have offsprings on their own. Overall hybrids within the same species are automatically most compatible with each other, they often have a heightened chance to reproduce without any external help from medicine. High reproduction rates also affect species within the same genus. But often species that are far apart in the same subfamily of species, might need some help from the medical field in order to reproduce naturally, but it’s not impossible.

Some species might be closely related within the main species family such as Ursidae (bear) hybrids, which allows them to reproduce with most of the other bear hybrids. But it never goes below family as then the genetics are too far off and incompatible and unable to reproduce biologically ever.

For example.
Tiger hybrids are able to have biological cubs with other tiger hybrids with best succession, and with other species from the same genus of Panthera there is moderate chance of reproduction, yet outside of the Panthera which means Neofelis genus might require some time and patience, but is not impossible. From within the same subfamily of Pantherinae just fine. Refer to Felidae classifications.

family Felidae > subfamily Pantherinae / Felinae > genus Neofelis / Panthera

SCENTS

All hybrids have major scent glands on the sides of their neck, each side, and minor scent glands on the inner wrists and ankles; those don’t produce as strong scent and don’t require scent blockers. Some hybrids, like hybrids from the Felidae family, have extra minor scent glands on the corners of their mouth which often results in hybrids from the Felidae family to rub their faces against other pack members and mates.

  • Other additional minor scent gland points are inner elbow, chest and behind the knees where there are strong pulse points, but those spots don’t always have scent glands. Many domesticated hybrids tend to have minor scent glands on their chest, located somewhere on top or bottom of the sternum.

Every scent has a deep undertone that slightly alters the scent depending on the secondary gender. Alphas have sharper and stronger deep undertones, while omegas have sweeter and more fragile deep undertones. That's how hybrids are able to recognize each other and secondary genders no matter the scent, but if blockers are used it makes hybrids view said person as beta when the deep undertones are turned bland.

Unmated hybrids will have their deep undertones and scents untouched and inform other hybrids that the person is unmated. Once the mating bond is made, deep undertones change a little. Alphas gain a bit of sweetness if mated to omega, sweetness being enough to deter other omegas from trying as it reminds them of omegas. While omegas if mated to alphas gain a bit of sharpness which deters alphas with the same reasoning. Mating with beta turns some of the deep undertones bland, but not in a bad way, more of a deterring way. The majority of the scent is still their original scent.

If mating bond is two sided the mating bite won't truly ever heal, but by the time fades, just like the changed deep undertone fades, which is why mating bonds are redone every few years, but many wild species hybrids redo it every year during mating season either way.

Only moment where scents properly mix is on the biological offspring of the pair

  • If parent A has a cacao scent and parent B has a sugary vanilla scent, their pup could definitely have a chocolate-like scent.
  • Parents with multiple flowery scents could make their pup smell like a bouquet of flowers.
  • Many pups could have perfume scents from their parents.
  • Or just individual scents, often related to either of the parents, like cacao scent could turn into coffee beans and vice versa.
  • Scent of the pups can also come from grandparents or more down in the line.

COURTING

Often happens towards the omega counterpart by either alpha, beta or another omega. Most commonly it happens between an alpha and an omega pair where alpha is trying to prove themselves capable mate for an omega and it varies from short courting to long periods of time depending on the species of the hybrid and personality of the one being courted, some might even take months.

Averagely courting is shortest among domesticated hybrids and second shortest among wildlife. Carnivora wildlife and apex predators have longest courting periods where among apexes it can last for months. Apex predators also have the highest numbers of rejected courting from the courted person's side, while domesticated are described as easy.

Big cat hybrids have the most tiring courting ritual that often starts weeks or even month long periods of where courted doesn't acknowledge the attempts at all and they often require the one courting to prove themselves more than among other species to even show slightest interest, often needing to have good and well kept looks to show they have been successful to deter off others (especially important among lions), prove to caring to show they can support the courted omega and possible cubs in the future but also strong enough to protect them even when omega apexes are capable of looking after themselves, but also common among all species, the gift giving. Courting a big cat tends to fail more often than it doesn't, they are known to be even pickier by nature, and as a majority of big cat hybrids (even non-apex ones) are known to be solitary animals which doesn't help with successful courting.

Common ways of courting are

  • gift giving
  • some cases, dates
  • showing interest/attention
  • displaying beauty and/or strength

There are species that prefer other ways like dancing together or require harmonization with the partner in the form of singing, while some species appreciate gifts. But the safest way is always thoughtful gifts.

Accepted courting doesn't instantly mean couples are engaged or even married. It means more of an official relationship that can evolve into more depending on the people involved in it.
