   Summary

   After finding herself into a marriage of convenience she doesn't want, Marian of Leaford travels from a distant kingdom to meet her future husband. Victor Rookwood is vile and wicked and rules his lands with an iron fist, or so she has heard.

   Marian could have never imagined that her carriage was going to be attacked in the middle of the woods by a band of thieves that would use her for ransom, led by a man that becomes a very thorn on her side.

   Sebastian Sallow is arrogant, charming, brave and - most times - reckless. Living in the Black Forest amongst rebels and insurgents, Marian realizes that family can be found in the most unexpected places. And sometimes, even love.
