What is that..falling from the sky..? Is it another sapphire falling from the sky? Or glass..? Is that why these people are holding protection from it..? He eyed the people closely.
Stelle never really liked things falling from the gloomy clouds, not many fond memories of cuts on his wings or astronaut suit. Really makes him wonder how people here even manage to survive or get used to the planet’s unique traits.
He was standing under the roof of a bus stop, not that he really needed to go home by bus, he just wanted protection from whatever the hell is falling down. It could harm him again as before! Better be safe than sorry. Not that he liked being here, he’d rather seek out other stars to collect or admire…
Sigh…
Oh how he missed the stars, as much as how he missed a slight movement from behind him…
…
“Since when did dove like you look so gloomy?” A familiar voice startled him out of his thoughts as he turns around. A sight of the familiar cat-like eyes staring at him. Mochi. Who’s wearing a red turtleneck this time, with denim pants and this time she donned on a beige coat, simple yet pretty look on her, but Stelle would find her pretty in anything, really.
"What's gotten you so down, little dove?" Ah, 'dove' a nickname given to him simply because Mochi still insists he's a bird.
"Just...avoiding the harmful falls…" he answers, glancing back at the falling droplets, just what harm do they do to humans who touch it?
"You mean..the rain?" She tilts her head at him, twitching her right cat ear as he glances back. "Rain…?" he says, confused, humans gave this harmful phenominon...rain.? but why?
"Yes, you know, the droplets falling from the sky, rain?" she smiled softly, not even judging him for not knowing what this strange phenominom was. "I thought you'd know since you're a bird hybrid, but again birds do typically hide in trees to avoid rain, you always did say you mostly spend time in a "dark place".
Ah..."the dark place"...seems like he omitted the fact he meant the Black holes he faced in space, or the dark room he was put in once he arrived here...but Mochi doesn't need to know that. And the fact he was a humanoid of stars and..not a bird hybrid, but she doesn’t need to know that either.
"So..what harmful things happen when you touch this so-called rain, and did you bring your barrier protector for it?" He asks, glancing at the other side of the road, people walking while holding this strange barrier, with a mettalic road and some colourful patterns on it.
"Harmful? Protective Barrier..?" She looks at him with a raised eyebrow. Stelle couldn't blame her, I mean he doesn't Know the name of the barrier these people use, hell it might be a complicated word like 'Astro-physical' I mean who even comes up with stuff like these, seriously.
Instead of elaborating further, he points at her hand, holding a similair barrier, this one has beige colouring with some white dots on it.
"You mean, umbrella..?" she looks at him, definetely trying to surpress a smile. "And harmful rain? pfft, is that how your family explained rain to you?" She swished her cat-tail in musement, enjoying to either tease him a bit for this, unfortunate for Stelle.
"Umbrella? How does require it??" He asks, wanting to Know, he would hate to get his wings cut again, just like last time on HD 189733b, he would hate to harm them here too, it takes a while for a feather to grow back, he doesn't want to experience it all over-again.
"okay okay, before I tell you how to acquire the umbrella, the rain isn't harmful, you Know that, yes?" She spoke, handing him her own umbrella, it seems she’s going into the rain without the umbrella protecting her.
Without thinking twice, Stelle reaches out to grip her hand. Tight grip. He doesn’t know why he did it but..the thought of her being harmed, it disturbed him.
She glances back at him, curious ocean eyes meeting his worried cyan.
“Don’t. Don’t go there.” He pleads quietly. The grip tightening a bit more. She stays silent..staring with her calculating cold gaze.

She smirks her chesire-grin. Which was a sign she was up to no good.
She grabs his hand that had a grip on her arm and leans back pulling him in, Stelle’s eyes widened at the action. Is she stupid?? He wanted to protect her and here she is pulling him into this rain with the potential to murder? He closes his eyes once they are out of the small bust stop shelter.
Expecting cuts on his wings, his entire body, or for her to scream.
He stills. Once they hit the ground, looking down at the chesire-cat grin staring up at him.

They’re alive. There is no pain, no hurling screams, his feathers still in tack, no harm no nothing.
He’s okay. He’s safe. He’s alive..?
“See? I told you it won’t harm you, dovey man.” She giggles as he sits up, helping her sit up aswell, dusting some of the dirty on her clothes.
“I don’t understand..we didn’t die..? Or get harmed..?” He asks, his hair slowly becoming wet and drooping his confused face. “It’s just water.” she answered.
“Just water?” He asks. “Just water.” She confirms, as she looks up at the sky, closing her eyes letting this rain fall onto her.
She looked so happy while doing it, he mimicks her movement, but keeping his eyes open. This..’rain’really is kind of comforting. Especially since it doesn’t harm anyone.
He blinks as Mochi got up, opening up her umbrella, hovering over his head. “You acquire this from stores.” She said, teasing him by mimicking his words at her. “If you want I can help you get one, there’s small ones and bigger ones.” She smiles warmly, even while looking like a wet droopy cat, she smiles so warm, he would probably mistake her for another star to collect. Strange feeling, but he decided to brush it off.
As he got up and walked along by her side to obtain his very own umbrella, he thinks maybe, just maybe rainy days shouldn’t be considered as gloomy days.
