Once upon a time..
So many centuries ago…..
Up up high in the sky though sands of blocks away. Stars that shined and listened to any song you would play sang alone. One by one each the bright hues.
A lone melody swirling around and around. The sky itself watches the earth with a dance and twist of its hips.
Dancing between the constellation, and sprinting on moon beams. A cosmic child prayed for the day he could fall in love.
Watching down below to the order of earth. Adventures and dreams pass by.
Hope such a crewel song for the young void. Cursed to never feel love returned from another.
Down, and Down in the deepest jungle. Birds sang songs and melodies. Hope to them was yet another journey of love.
Sleeping away under the softest sun rays. A majestic golden macaw rested. Bronze hair that reflected anything that seemed to touch it. To the emerald eyes, cold as the winter sky but as warm as summer winds.
Oh moon's the Void had fallen in love.
Oh so in love the winds sang and danced in glee.
Oh how was this perfect, the Macaw may break his curse. To fall in love with a mortal. How perfect, that he could love the one and only.
“Oh dearest earth, how could I ever love another.” It would sing to the world below.
The wind and stars giggled and sang to the others of the void's first love.
“He fell head over tail, so deep in betrayal of his heart. It's adorable.” He giggled over and over.
Sun and mountains high blinked in disbelief of this message from the winds.
“To Who?”
“Oh Oh to the golden macaw, child of songs. The one that oh so many have fallen for. The choice of the heart. The one that may break the dear olds mark.”
Sun and mountains high whispered in a voice so low. Caves shook in shock, and worry from the message the winds delivered.
Giggling spinning the Winds returned to the side of the void. Void so deeply in love, danced the sound of his heart.
“Dearest Winds, how long till I can meet the soul of my kin.” He would call each time the earth turned.
“When the Eclipse chimes ten.” Winds would reply to every turn.
Void would sulk in per need. The thought of not seeing his one and only. Days and Days away from him was worse than the curse of Eternity.
But in Reality…..
The Golden Macaw was the fiance to the God of Betrayal. The one that could and would banish the Winds to another time.
Winds always giggling and spinning. Was losing speed like a sunken ship of everlasting peace. His bliss turned every word into one he missed.
Pleading, begging the Sun and mountains high to give him a pardon, or to see a sweet embrace of death.
“Please oh Please his truth of betrayal..it always fails. Could this…it was going to fly but trapped in a cold heartless way. Oh how do we make him free of his weigh. Mountains High in beg you from the earth so low. That you give me they strength to blow ... .a final time.”
Sun and Mountains High watched as Winds lost all sense of freedom to a burden of a secret.
One by one the bells chimed all 10…they had run out of time.
“Oh Winds, my friend, we can finally meet him.” Void cheered to the heavens above. Soon he could meet the love of his life.
Down down below in the deepest darkest cave. A shroud of white and gold began. As the god of Betrayal and the Golden Macaw became wed.
I do’s, was said with hearts of joy and chained wings.
It was too late…
For the curse returned and the Macaw was taken..far far away from the Voids hopes.
“Winds….Am I broken?” He shot as they rested against the stars. Eyes torn from hundreds of shards.
Winds froze, face twisting in shades of guilt, pain, and regret.
“I…i don't know, Stray.” Winds whispered. Eyes growing dark as betrayal took away the only light that this world had.
To the farthest reaches. A place not mortal or spirit could go.
The Underworld..
The only hope for Void's curse of Eternity to be broken. A side that no one knew cursed away.
As night burned to day, Void sat still waiting yearning for a day when a dream would last.
A day so far away from the moon's, to the sun. From sky to earth. Void's humanity was gone as the curse took over.
Turning him into the thing he feared the most…a shadow of great man.
Years past, constellations dulled as the music left the world as if it never existed.
Stars become as cold as ice and the deepest darkest parts of the world.
Some say when the moon blocks out the sun, it's Void calling for help, and that comets are just his tears as he relives that tragic night time and time again.
From hope to love his tale is already finished…it had closed so many moons ago.
The world moves on as the legend is retold after time and time again. From Mountains High to Valleys low.
The Winds continue to giggle and dance their way around hoping to find a way to free Void from the curse.
As for the Golden Macaw some say that his reincarnation is down there somewhere on the earth. Playing a distant melody in hope to find his one true love.
But then again that's just the legend of the Soulless Star. The story of love never returned to the one that needed it so long ago. Of a duo never meant to be.
Our heroes formed in the patterns of the world.
The Soulless Star…The one right below the moon away, shining on the darkest days. If you listen closely maybe you'll hear the Voids song too…
