Work Text:
The pirate bride I be
A garment ever so pretty!
The bride to be, had all that he needed. At least on Ed’s opinion it was the best part of the dress up. It being kind of a game, but not really.
And that among other clothing too was perhaps needed but of course, alas…
… Ed covering his long luscious curls under thee see through garment, leaving little if nothing to the imagination. But that wasn’t the point either. Not here and not now.
No, the point was to play the part of the bride.
As Ed and Stede were getting hitched.
Married. Or whatever the term just might have been for two people hooking up for life. Soon to, as it was all becoming official. The two partners making the ultimate promise to each other in front of everyone and their seagull. And then, they would become pirate husbands.
And of course Ed had been the one wanting to play the part of the bride. Not that either of them really needed to play any parts. This was a union of the two of them more than anything else nor any tradition of the norm to be followed.
But as Stede had so aptly stated, Ed deserved pretty things for himself.
They looked good on Ed.
And so, Ed dressed in his best leather outfit he could muster, with his hair and makeup made up to perfection. The pretty veil of finest lace woven had been chosen to complete the ensemble just because Ed loved it.
Having seen it and knowing full well, it was his to put on.
The song already playing, that of their song,
Ed taking one last glimpse on the tall mirror and so, he knew was ready. Ready to walk down the isle to get to his loving Stede. His husband to be.
This ceremony was to complete their existing union.
The words to be spoken of a promises they already knew in their hearts, the love for each other. Indeed a happy day for the loving couple. But more so for Ed, as he got to wear the prettiest of them all.
The veil of perfection as the bride with so much pride.
