Summary
“Care to explain why you are dressing up as a peasant?” Simon asks with an exaggerated whisper, as he wants to avoid the people around him who will hear his words.
He could easily read the mind of the man and find out the truth quickly, but where is the fun in that? Simon is having the most fun he has had in weeks, if not even months or years, and sometimes a bit of patience goes a long way. The man intrigues him, and he wants to find out with his own words why he is here in the first place.
The man pales.
“I am not!” he argues, and Simon cannot help but start laughing.
“How can someone sound so confident when they also know they are not telling the truth?” Simon wonders with a smile. “You are a very curious person.”
